Who’s into Mischief?

20 Jun

Bongo with a ball between his pawsMy person left the house early this morning. I don’t really like it when she does that, but it does give me more chances to get into mischief.

And what my person doesn’t know won’t hurt her.

So I got on her bed and messed it up. There’s two cats now, so I can always blame them if my person says anything.

I checked out the litter box. What?! My person cleaned it before she left? That’s not fair.

Then I looked to see if there was any cat food left.

This is not good. My person is getting better about remembering to put the cat food where I can’t reach it.

I hear somebody at the door. It can’t be my person. I didn’t hear her car. I heard another car though.

It’s my friend who comes sometimes when my person’s not here.

Don’t anybody tell my person that I have a friend over when she’s gone. I might get in trouble.

Hey wait a minute!

My friend let me go outside, but now she’s ignoring me.

She’s paying attention to Gizmo!

Gizmo looking to his right

What is this?

Gizmo, go hide in the bedroom or something. This is my friend. She came to see me.

What do you mean, she was your friend first?

You used to live with her?

Gizmo on the back of the couch

And now you live with me?

I don’t know what to make of this.

How can I have secret mischief if you’re the one having a friend over and not me?

Gizmo lying on the floor looking cute

Gizmo, I’m telling. You’re not supposed to have friends over when my – oh, I have to say “our” now – person is gone.

Marina, I’ve been trying to make friends with Gizmo but he doesn’t want to play with me. Cats are so strange.

Beats me, Bongo, how could anyone not want to be good friends with you!!! Maybe you are right, cats are strange!

Gizmo looks like he’s really settling in! I bet he was really glad to see the person he used to live with too :)

Remy, Gizmo is getting pretty comfortable here. It worries me because he and Scratchy are getting along and I’m afraid they might gang up against me.

Oh, I hope not Bongo! Maybe you can make friends with Gizmo too and he can be a good influence on Scratchy :)

So far neither Gizmo or Scratchy want to hang out with me. I’ll keep working on Gizmo.

I think you can win him over, Bongo!

        I’m working on it.

Yes, Gizmo was very excited to see me. We miss him bunches and it was so nice to spend a little time with him. But Bongo, don’t forget, you also got some loving from me. ;-)

Missy, don’t say anything about the loving I got. I want to make sure Gizmo gets the blame for having a friend over while my person was gone. Oh no, my person saw your comment. I’m in trouble now!

Sharing the visitor spotlight is difficult. Gizmo! Ugh! You’re still my #1, B.

Thanks Cupcake. It’s really not good when you have to compete with a cat.

Benny & Lily, it’s certainly better than taking the blame myself. My person hardly ever believes it when I tell her Scratchy did it. Maybe she’ll believe it’s Gizmo.

Hanging with Gizmo’s friend sounds like mischief to me!

BZ, I’m just afraid Gizmo might out-master me in mischief. What would I do if a cat out did me?

Oh dear Bongo, Litchi feels for you. She also had the house to herself and then it got invaded by cats. She does rather like their food though and, like you, will do almost anything to try to steal some. Her mom has not got quite as good as yours at hiding it. Gizmo looks adorable though. I’m sure you’ll enjoy having a new playmate in the house.

Susan, now that there’s two cats here they don’t leave any food for me to steal. And I haven’t been able to get Gizmo to play with me. It’s really bad.

Maybe it was just an excuse to see you?

Dalton, do you think my friend came to see me and just pretended to want to see Gizmo? She has come over here before when my person wasn’t here – before Gizmo came.

I’m glad that Gizmo had an opportunity to see his previous owner who is also your friend(!!!) :)
He and Scratchy are getting along well?

Kevin, unfortunately Gizmo and Scratchy are getting along fine. I’m really afraid they’re going to gang up on me.

You do have a full roster of possible mischief Bongo…Remember that Gizmo’s are Good, even if they’re cats BOL!

Gizmo, I think I’d rather get up to mischief with you than with a Gizmo cat.

She didn’t came for you, Bongo? What a damper :)

Little Binky, she’s come to see me before – when Gizmo wasn’t here, but for some reason Gizmo won out this time. Guess I’ll tell and get him in trouble.

Lola, I must have blown it because Gizmo left and now I only have Scratchy to blame for mischief. My person hardly ever believes me when I say Scratchy did it.

That is some pretty good mischief Bongo, I think the blaming the cats is a good plan ;)

Misty Shores, the trick is convincing my person that it really was the cats.

Cats! ugh.. they ruin everything…. perhaps if you open the door a bit when no one is around the cats will leave on their own…

Collies, maybe if I open the door and give them a little shove. Scratchy never wanders far anymore and he always stays close enough so he can run right back inside.
