Bongo Keep Away

09 Dec

Bongo keeping his distance in the yardMy person has been full of mischief lately.

Every time she leaves the house she makes me go in dog jail.

Sometimes when she just leaves the room I have to go in dog jail.

Well, I’m catching on to her.

I’ve got her all figured out.

Whenever she lets me out and I didn’t ask to go out, and it’s not bedtime, it means dog jail is coming next.

.

So when she lets me out – I stay out.

There’s no dog jail in the yard.

And she won’t leave me alone in the yard because then I pull more mischief.

I jump the fence and visit the neighbors.

She used to lure me in with treats, but I know better now.

Nope. No dog jail for me.

Bongo running through the garden area

Just try to catch me.

I let her get close, but then…

Bongo squeezing between a yucca plant and the fence

I squeeze past the yucca.

She won’t go this way. These yucca plants are pokey.

Bongo keeping his distance with a frisbee in his mouth

Hey person, I’ve got the Frisbee.

Come and get it!

Bongo running past the yucca the other way

Nope. No dog jail for me today.

Bongo you are smart and got that dog jail thing all figured out…good for you! We can’t wait to see what else you are gonna do to keep out of that dog jail. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, when this stops working I’ll for sure come up with something else. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

I knew you were very clever, Bongo! I am so proud of you! :-) [did it work?]

Marina, it worked for a little while. Then my person tricked me. I heard the sound of a whole cup full of food falling into my dish. When I came in for it she grabbed my collar and shoved me in dog jail. I didn’t even get the food.

I should have warned you, but I was probably too late anyway by the time I was writing! :-(

Keep-Away is the Best. Game. Ever. If I ever get off my leash, I plan to play it. A lot!

Cupcake, I used to play this game every time I escaped from my yard, but my person has learned my tricks and I haven’t been able to escape for a long time. Now I can only do it in the backyard. It still works pretty good though.

Bongo – you are the clever one! And you have those pokey plants. Molly had figured it out, too. She runs along the fence line behind all the thick bushes…which scares all the little birds trying to stay warm there. Dog jail is no fun…and especially since RC Cat never has to face lockup.

Karen, Molly and I must be in the same boat. Scratchy never gets locked up either. And you know what he does? He sits on a chair and taunts me while I’m in dog jail.

    Haha Bongo

You show her she can’t trick you with treats! I play ‘chase’ with my Mum in the garden too, she tries to make me come in when I’m barking at the neighbors lawnmower, but I run away and I know the best routes way better than her! Tee Hee

    Have fun

    Your pal Snoopy :)

Snoopy, playing chase is a lot of fun. I like to wait until my person is almost up to me – then I take off running.

Kevin, you’re so right there. I think my person gets poked more than I do because she doesn’t have protective hair all over.

Aw, after all that you didnt get the treats? that is simply unfair! And a good run around the yard is as good as a walk for exercising your person lol

Susan, you’re so right. I was doing my person a favor by giving her lots of exercise. I should get extra treats for that.

Bongo, it’s every prisoner’s right to get some time out of jail and out in the “yard”.

    • Bongo

      December 11, 2013 at 3:49 pm

Diane and Lola, that’s for sure. I think I should get more yard time though.

Maybe if you would let her put you in doggy jail some of those times their might be more presents under the tree for Christmas??!

      December 11, 2013 at 3:52 pm

Lexie and Mica, I’m afraid Santa is going to lock all my presents up in dog jail and I’ll never get out of there.

Dalton, she looks like she’s having fun chasing me around the yard. I don’t think she really wanted to get wherever she was going on time anyway.

I thought so too Quinlyn, but for some reason my person doesn’t think what I do is funny.
