Treat on the Trail

08 May

Bongo and Layla meeting on the trailSomething great happened on my trails the other day.

I was walking along, minding my own business, on a part of my trails where hardly anybody else goes – when I saw her.

My girlfriend Layla.

I hadn’t seen Layla in a very long time.

Weeks, or maybe even months.

So I was really excited.

.

Some of my dog friends don’t like to play much, but Layla loves to play.

We ran, and jumped, and had a great time.

But after awhile it was time to get serious.

I’m not sure if I wore Layla out, or she didn’t like that serious part because she left me.

Layla, come back!

I guess I’ve blown it again.

The only ones that seem to stick around are the cats.

Why is Layla allowed to run off the leash but you have to keep yours on. Do you run away?
it is lovely when you see old friends even if they don, t stay around too long

Patrecia, my person says I run away. I think she’s just making it up because she needs the security of holding on to my leash.

So coy and hard to get. Or perhaps worried someday you’d be the one to walk away first…or she smells bacon. Probably the latter. Romp on Bongo!

Karen, did you say bacon? I’d better follow Layla and find out where it is.

Great!!!! You seem to have had a lot of fun with her. As for the ‘serious’ part – well, girls like to take it slow. I’m sure she didn’t get offended or anything. How could she with a handsome Superdog like you! 😉

Marina, I think I wore her out. Maybe next time I’ll have to get to the serious part sooner.

Bongo, I think you came to close…but you both had a great time. It’s always great to see old friends and play with them. Maybe next time Layla will stay a little longer 🙂 Pawkisses LB 🙂

Little Binky, it was great fun playing with Layla. I hope I don’t have to wait so long to see her next time.

Layla looks like a lot of fun, B. She probably misses you as much as you miss her. I hope you’re playing Bitey-face again soon.

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, I’ve got to figure out how to get my person to make play dates for us. Then I wouldn’t have to wait so long to see Layla again.

Didn’t know you had a girlfriend, Bongo? Or, does she know she’s your girlfriend? Hehe.

    Good luck, my friend!

Kevin, it was great fun. I think Layla looks for me a lot, but she’s just not on my trails at the same time I’m looking for her.

Diane and Lola, there’s plenty of cactus flowers on my trails right now. I’ll have to pick some for her. But then again, maybe not.

Sounds like Layla is just playing hard to get! Girls like to play that game sometimes. I saw someone suggested flowers. Forget the flowers, the way to a girl dog’s heart is easy. I have one word for you Bongo … Bacon!

Stacy, I’ll have to bring some bacon with me next time – but I might have a problem. I don’t think I can prevent myself from eating it long enough to find Layla.
