The Worst Week Ever!

20 Aug

Bongo curled up in his kennelWhat a horrible week!

First my person got sick and wouldn’t take me for a walk.

Then it started thundering and I couldn’t go for a walk.

But you’re not going to believe what happened now.

Some bug bit my person in the foot and it’s all swollen up and she can’t take me for a walk again.

So now my person says that since I’m not having any adventures I might not have anything to post for a few days.

I guess you’ll see a poor, sad, out of shape dog in a few days.

In the meantime, I’m curling up for a nap.

Jackie, I don’t know what to think. I finally got some walks and then either my person pulls that busy thing or the thunder shows up.

How awful. That is a very bad week. Could you ask Toby,s person to take you for a walk, or what about younger person, or man person. If I lived near you I would take you. I hope that your person,s foot heals quickly..

Keep smiling Bongo it will all be OK

Patrecia, my younger person doesn’t like taking me for walks. I don’t know why. I think I might have to move over to Toby’s house because I know his person would take me.

Oh, no you guys!!!! I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope your person gets better* and may the weather behave …finally!!!! Sounds like you are both going to be curling up for a nap. Maybe this would be a good time for you to visit your person’s bed to comfort her!
    * what bug was this?!

Marina, my person never found the bug but she thinks it was some kind of spider. Her foot got all swollen up and she could hardly walk on it. It’s way better now but not all the way better. She actually took me for some walks but then it thundered and then my person pulled that busy thing.

Bacon, my person is almost better but not all the way. I have to admit that I did get to take her on a couple walks but then the thunder showed up again and today she pulled that busy thing.

Oh brother. I definitely feel you. I hate it when the humans pull their trump card called busy. Aren’t we the reason they exist? How can they be busy from us? Shakes piggy head. XOXO – Bacon

Thanks Pigs. I’m still waiting for things to get back to normal – but especially for that thunder to go away for good.

Oh, poor Bongo!!! At least, your person could learn perfect timing: if she has to be sick, then she should do this on those days when it thunders. Thus, she could be with you and you shouldn’t be put into the dog jail.

    • Bongo

      August 27, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Kolytyi, I totally agree with you. But my person still keeps leaving me and then when she finally comes home she’s all tired out. There’s something not right about all this.

Your person needs you to keep your spirits up so you can help her keep her spirits up during this trying time. At least her bad foot and the thunder are at the same time so you can be together and you can comfort each other.

    • Bongo

      August 27, 2014 at 10:21 pm

Patricia, I’ll take good care of my person – as soon as she gets rid of the thunder for me.

      August 27, 2014 at 10:21 pm

Don’t Doubt, that’s why I get stuck in dog jail. I used to tear the house apart whenever I got left home alone and it thundered. Now I can’t do that anymore.

I’m very very sorry for your person’s sick and bitten foot….does it hurt her foot? *worried face*
I hope she gets feel better soon, Bongo…please look after her. Hugs

Kevin, my person’s foot got all swollen up and she could hardly walk on it. Now most of the swelling has gone down but she says it’s still kind of sore where the bite was. She can take me on walks on my trails now – when she’s not pulling that busy thing and it’s not thundering.

Thanks so much Marina. My person’s energy level is still down so she’s usually really tired when she gets home for the day. I think she should just stay home and then she could help me write some more blog posts.

Thanks so much Little Binky. My person is feeling better but her energy level is still not normal so when she gets home she says she’s too tired to help me write my blog posts. And then there’s that thunder. It doesn’t seem to want to leave.

Thanks so much Little Binky and Granny. Things are fine here now – well except we still get thunder some days – and I should have been in Phoenix this morning because I could have gone swimming on the freeway. My person has been pulling this “busy” thing lately. I’m going to have to tie her down at my computer and make here type up a blog post for me.

Thanks for the updat, Bongo. I’m relieved to hear that you’re allright, Pal. We’ll ask God to use a soft ball instead of a bowling ball when he is going to play football again. I’m sure your person will type another blog post, when she has time. I’m to busy with my stardom right now, but I promiss I come by again soon 🙂 Stay cool 🙂

OMD! That is the absolute saddest week I have ever seen. Sometimes Bongo, you have to go easy on the humans. They are a very fragile species. Maybe if you cuddle up real close all the badness will end and you will be back to adventures soon. – Your friends at DogDaz Zoo

Poor Bongo! Tell your person to use some Calamine lotion, it helps bites a lot. I hope you can get out of the house soon & continue your adventures! Until then, maybe catch up on your reading? Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul is one of our faves.

Oh, Bongo – even RC (not being a fan of loud booms and thunders) has been worried about you. Molly assured her you had a person and nice bed to snuggle in…but the German (totally terrified of thunder and having to huddle with staff in a corner of the hall over the weekend visit that was marred by a thunderstorm and then had to ride home in the car the next day during a thunder storm), well, the German is too exhausted to say much….and she sprained her toe running in too fast to get away from the thunder outside.
So everyone here hopes everyone there has a better week!
(Oh! Paws up for K9S4COPS spokesdog ringing the bell on Wall Street – they are raising money for trained dogs in schools to protect students. They were just on TV! WooWOO!)

      September 8, 2014 at 5:00 pm

Karen, maybe I can make my person feel guilty if even RC has been worried about me. And I hope the German is doing better. First my person was sick, and then her foot got bit, and then thunder came and then my person pulled this “busy” thing. At least we only got normal rain here last night – my trails weren’t even muddy today. If I’d been in Phoenix this morning I could have gone swimming on the Interstate. Wait a minute! I think I missed a swimming date.
