Transformed Puddle

02 Mar

Bongo sniffing a bush with snowy rocks behind him

I made my person go for a walk with me in the rain today.

It was fun. There were streams everywhere.

But I was so startled by one stream that my person actually let me do a blog post for the first time in a long time.

Well, maybe it was because her class got cancelled because there’s snow where her school is.

Anyway, here it is!

Bongo and a stream among the rocks

My puddle is no longer a puddle.

It has transformed into a stream.

Bongo looking at a pile of foam in the water

On second thought, I think it’s a bathtub.

It’s got a natural sponge – and bubbles.

Bongo playing with the foam

Do you think this puddle will get me clean?

I don’t think so Bongo, looks a bit muddy to me – but what is that white/yellow thing there on the water?

Barb, I don’t mind the mud. That white/yellow thing is some kind of foam. I don’t know why, but it sometimes shows up where the water collects when we get heavy rain. I’ve never seen one quite like this though. It’s usually all white and much smaller.

Your puddle looks like a whirlpool, Bongo, that must be so relaxing to play in it. Btw Clean or not, as long as you have fun 😀 Great to see you, Pal. Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 ❤

Little Binky, I just have to figure out how to warm up the water in my puddle. Then I’d have my own hot tub.

Hi Bongo, it’s really great to see you I miss you red rock walks and you. I’m really glad your puddle turned into a stream since they are more fun. I don’t know what that is in your water so I don’t think it will be a bath. Our creek has been frozen since January so we really aren’t getting to swim, play, get a drink. We love winter but would like our creek back 🙂

Aspen and Mica, that must be a drag not having your creek for so long. At least you have snow to play in. Right now I have mud. That stuff in my water is some kind of foam. Pretty sudsy, so maybe it makes good soap.

Oh, Bongo it’s so good to see you after so long and twice as good to see you next to your transformed puddle! Well, if clean means changing color, yes, you could say that, but you look so handsome in your own colors, why add red?!!!! 😉

Marina, I’m so glad my person let me do a blog post because now I get to talk with all my friends like you. I wouldn’t mind getting red though, because then my person would give me another bath. I like baths. Anything with water.

I’d say dive then, but she might use it afterwards as an excuse for not having time to blog… so think twice! 🙂

Thanks Jackie. I had to drag my person out of the house because the day before she didn’t want to go out in the rain. But my trails weren’t as muddy as she thought they’d be after all that ran. I guess it came down so fast it all ran off instead of sinking in. My dry wash wasn’t dry at all. It had a stream running through it. I guess I’d better out and have some more exciting adventures because my person still doesn’t want to let me post every day.

The trails here are ice.. I think Marley would much rather hike through mud than snow & ice.. We brought Marley for a winter hike and I’m thinking it must have been too much for him?? He’s not feeling well now 😦

Marley will have to come visit me to get better. My trails have mostly dried up and the sun came out again.

I thought maybe you fell in a puddle I have not seen you around for a long time. I know you are probably missing your person, it is called empty nest syndrome I do not know why, I never saw a nest

Fredrieka, I think maybe my younger person was in a nest when he was tiny. That was before I came to live here so I’m not sure.

Bongo, I think a bath in that puddle would be a lot of fun but it looks like you might come out of there as a redhead.

I might need some snow to roll in to clean off after that. Could you please send me some?

Such great fun bathing in a stream, getting all the bubbles near your eyes and near your ears…but I think you would come out dirtier than when you went in as there is lots of dust in those moving puddles

      March 3, 2015 at 10:17 pm

Patrecia, if I ended up dirtier guess I’d just have to jump into another puddle.

Wow…..it looks like you had heavy rain before the stream came up……How long did the rain continue ? Is it unusual ? So good to see you, Bongo! We missed you much….

Thanks Kevin. I miss you too. We had a storm come through with lots of rain for about three days – especially the second day. It rained hard a lot. The creek in our area was really high but we don’t live near it so we didn’t have to worry.

Bubble baths are great but only if the water is warm. But I bet your puddle is fun to splash around in.

Patricia, I love going in my puddle but it is really cold this time of year. Especially when new water keeps running into it.

Thanks. This is in Sedona, AZ. We only get puddles like this for a short time when it rains hard. It’s a great place to go walking though.

Cupcake, I miss all my blogging friends too. I just can’t seem to get my person off this busy thing and get back to my blog. And as for my puddle, it’s really acting up. The last few storms piled dirt into it so now when it shows up it’s just a tiny puddle and it doesn’t stay for long. It’s terrible I say – terrible!

Alex and Penny, it’s so good to know my friends haven’t forgotten me. I’m doing fine – except for that nasty thunder that’s been hanging around here lately. My person keeps pulling that busy thing and won’t help me do any blog posts. At least she helps me put something on Facebook every few days. I hope you guys are doing well.
