Scratchy doesn’t eat much besides his cat food, but he loves tuna. When my person opens a can of tuna he comes running. I don’t know why, but my person gives him special treatment. She gives Scratchy all the tuna juice and I only get the leftovers. Whatever Scratchy doesn’t finish is what I get. It’s a good thing Scratchy’s only cat-sized because he gets more tuna juice than he can handle. Can you imagine if Scratchy was my size? I’d never get anything.
For some reason Scratchy thinks every can my person opens is a can of tuna. He hears that can opener going and he comes running to the kitchen. When he finds out my person just opened a can of beans he turns up his nose and walks away. I’ll take some beans.
No such luck. For some reason my person’s not in a sharing mood when she opens a can of vegetables. I’m not sure why.

Katie, I keep hoping my person will drop some beans – maybe just one?

😆 It is so unfair! Our kitty won’t eat anything but her cat food. Sh is nuts! We eat anything they put in front of us.

2 brown dawgs, I agree. Kitties are nuts! And they really don’t know how to appreciate good food.

I will say that Jen is nice in that she shares her veggies with us. It’s one of the few things that we can share without cats nosing in. Carrots are the best!

Rumpy, my person shares the fresh ones sometimes, but when she opens a can she usually keeps it all to herself. I really like tomatoes.

I like your post, but must confess I spent a lot of time thinking about all the seniors that can only afford the tuna or beans due to the high cost of living.

Sandra, thanks for your thoughts. The economy makes it a struggle for a lot of people right now.

Deccy, thanks for stopping by. My person told me I have to tell you that Scratchy sends greetings to KC. It’s a struggle to keep Scratchy off my blog sometimes. He’s always wanting to take it over.
