The Core is Mine

16 Oct

Waiting for an AppleThere she goes – eating one of those things again. Nice, round, and juicy. My person says it’s called an apple. I wish she’d give me a whole apple sometimes, but she eats them and just gives me the core. At least she takes the stem off first. I hope you don’t think my person is mean to me, throwing me her garbage. I really like those apple cores and I ask my person for them.

Sometimes my person cuts the apple into pieces and I get a little piece of the core at a time. My person tosses them to me and I catch them. I love catching things and I’m really good at it. I only miss when my person throws it wrong. Other times my person eats the apple whole and I get one big core when she’s done. If I’m really lucky she’ll leave some of the good part of the apple on it for me.

Right now she’s sitting at the counter with one of those apples. I think I’ll just sit on the floor next to her. I’m sitting very quietly, very politely. She’ll get the hint.

We sure hope she leaves you some apple on that core since you are sitting so patiently and being so nice. We have never tried apple, we may have to give that a go. Hugs and nose kisses

Apples are really good – of course I like everything – except olives. Hugs and nose kisses back.

I’m not a big fan of fruit. Unless it has peanut butter on it. Everything tastes better with peanut butter.

Lola, you’re right. Peanut butter is good. My person doesn’t give it to me very often. I’ll have to remind her.

Hey Bongo! My Boxer girl gets apples too. 🙂 She loves the, and I put one in her food every week. She loves oranges also. Have you tried them? Hope you got the apple core (who could resist those puppy eyes? 🙂 ). If not, feel free to come our way, and I’ll pass on one to you. 🙂

Katie, I did get the apple core. I haven’t tried oranges yet. I’ll have to tell my person to run out and get me some.

Ooh, I hope she does Bongo! I was so surprised that my girl liked the oranges. Try Kiwis too. 🙂

Katie, Kiwis sound good. My person doesn’t share those. I think I’ll have to have a talk with her.

Bassa, I want some of those Georgian apples. Right now I’m waiting for my person to break out the Honey Crisp apples she just bought. They’re really sweet and you can only get them for a short time each year.

Alas Sammo Branum doesn’t like apples or the cores, but he sure loves peanut butter and cheese.

Sammo doesn’t know what he’s missing – but peanut butter and cheese are really good too.

Our friend Charlie’s dad always has an apple for us when he walks Charlie across the fields. We love apples.

Bones, I like Charlie’s dad already. He knows how to please a dog, doesn’t he?
