My person told me I couldn’t go out looking like myself yesterday, so she dressed me up as a Cub Scout and took me for a walk. I’m not sure what she was talking about, and I don’t even know what a Cub Scout is, but she said something about treats. I’ll do anything for treats. Well, almost anything.
We went walking along the trail – me all dressed up. We met a few people on the trail but none of them had treats for me. Hey, what gives? I thought if I wore this silly thing that everyone I ran into would give me treats.
Then I figured out what the problem was. I didn’t run into anybody. My person pulls me off the trail whenever someone comes walking by. How does she expect me to get treats when I’m standing out of the way?
Once I realized that, I moped all the way home. We didn’t even see any more people. Darn. I really wanted to check out that running into theory. Anyway, I guess my younger person felt sorry for me when we got home because he gave me an end of the trail treat. And I didn’t even have to run into him.

Aww poor Bongo. at least you got a treat when you got home. Angel and Chaos wanted to chase after the cowboys and princesses and ghosts and superheros that came to our building when we went out for their walk yesterda, that they not only got NO treats, they got a good scolding from the mommies too.

Hmm well maybe next year you can try the running into thing. 😆 We didn’t get any treats either. Everyone said something about threats not being good for dawgs. Really? They were giving treats to kids, but not to dawgs…

Bongo, you remind me of one of my babies Milo, he mopes when he doesn’t get attention from family and friends but loves when crumbs fall from the table, he has no scruples when it comes to any kind of treat he takes what he can. Like you he will do anything for a treat but I guess that’s what makes you both adorable. BTW have I mentioned that you are very photogenic? Love your posting. Blessings to you Bongo and your owner.

Thanks Tri, I just got a special treat. My person was trying to get a certain picture of me and let me out in the garage where I found lots of tasty morsels that had been spilled out of my food bag.

You were pulled off the trail whenever someone came by? I’ve heard that Cub Scouts can be scary for some people. Chose a different uniform next time Bongo 🙂
