Haunted Hamburger

02 Nov

Ribs at the Haunted HamburgerMy people left me for awhile today. They said they went to a place called Jerome. I don’t really care what they did, but what I do care about is what my younger person smelled like when they came home. He smelled like scrumptious, juicy, flavorful, tasty, water is pouring out of my mouth, barbeque ribs.

Next time you go to a place like that people, please take me with you. I’ll behave. I promise. All you have to do is give me some of those ribs.

My people said there were no dogs allowed where they went. It was a restaurant called the Haunted Hamburger. The what? How can a hamburger be haunted?

They said they didn’t know about the hamburger being haunted, but the town of Jerome is famous for its hauntings. You’d think they could find some ribs in a safer place.

Well I decided that maybe I didn’t need to go with my people to such a spooky place, but the least they could do if they were going there anyway was to bring me a doggie bag.

My person showed me some pictures that she took in Jerome.

Bongo, we’ve eaten at the Haunted Hamburger in years past. As I recall, it was quite tasty but we had to wait a very long time to be seated. I think the cooking smells would have made a dog go wild if they had to wait!

Jerome is a very neat place to visit. My favorite memory of Jerome is a sign we saw in a T-shirt shop that stated, “Jerome…a biker community with an artist problem.” LOL!!

Lindy, my person says the saying on the T-shirt you saw describes Jerome perfectly. They waited until almost 2:00 to eat so they didn’t have to wait long for a seat, but they said it was still really busy.

Aww Bongo, sorry you couldn’t go but some places you’re not allowed to go and you know it’s a dumb rule but it does have to be implemented for the sake of humans. I myself love doggies and as you may already know I have two so when we do leave they keep each other happy but I do agree with you on this, it would’ve been nice for you to have gotten a doggie bag. The pics are spectacular and the house with all the steps would’ve been exhausting for me, had I had a home like that. Well until then Bongo, love, love, love your postings.

Thanks Tri. They did bring me a doggie bag – lots of bones. My people said they had to go up way more stairs than that house had to get to the Haunted Hamburger. The whole town is on the side of a mountain and there’s very little parking near the restaurant.

Bongo, I’m happy you got your doggie bag and as for your owners climbing a steep flight of stairs like that tell me that they are really in great shape. I guess all those walks you all take definitely helped. Blessings to you Bongo and to your owners….Thanks!

Tri, I do my best to keep my people in shape on our walks. I have trouble getting my younger person to go with us most of the time, but he’s young so he’s in pretty good shape anyway.

You are right sweet Bongo the least they could have done was bring you a doggie bag. Maybe the next time they will remember to do that. Reading about those ribs made our mouth water. Nice pictures we like the houses and the Jerome resident…we like you best though sweet Bongo. Hugs and nose kisses

Loved the battered street sign…then saw the cat pretending to be dirt so it can hide in plain sight: that’s streets’ smarts

It’s no fun when my people go places that I’m not allowed to go. But they are usually good about bringing home tasty souvenirs. You’re so right… it’s the least they can do for leaving us behind.

Lola, you’re so right. And my people not only leave my behind – they leave me alone with Scratchy. How’s your person’s NaNoWriMo project going?

Sylvia, I’m sorry I missed it too. My person said there are lots of people walking around there. It would have been so much fun to greet them all.

Oh Dog! I wanna go too! I want a haunted hamburger! Actually, I’d be happy with any kind of hamburger.

Rumpy, sometimes our people aren’t very good about sharing. Maybe we could sneak into the back of the car next time someone is going for hamburgers.

I love burgers Bongo, especially cheeseburgers but I don’t like the pickle so the tall person takes them out and gives them to De – she likes them 🙂

Bassa, I’ll eat the pickles as long as someone else eats the olives. My person won’t give me the cheese though. She says it doesn’t agree with me. What does she know?

The abandoned house sure looks haunted. But if there are ribs to be had, we would overlook the ghosts. 🙂

PS Jerome looks like a great little town.

Brown Dawgs, I’m with you. I’ll go anywhere for ribs. My person says Jerome is an old mining town turned ghost town, and now it’s an artist and biker community. She likes visiting there.

Far out… never mind the hamburgers (haunted or otherwise), I’d go there for the view. Stunning.

Flo, I’ll take all the hamburgers I can get, but my people said they enjoy the view as well.
