There’s that sound again. I’m on my way. Chop, chop, chop. My person is chopping vegetables. When she does that I get treats. Vegetable ends. She used to throw them away. Silly person. Why would she do that?
She doesn’t throw them out anymore. I got her to toss me something once – a long time ago. I don’t even remember what it was. A zucchini end or something. Now that she knows I’ll eat them, she tosses the ends to me all the time. So as soon as I hear that knife chopping away, out into the kitchen I come.
My person tosses the pieces high into the air and I get to catch them. That’s almost as much fun as eating them. Sometimes even more fun, depending on what it is she tossed to me. Cucumbers are alright, but I prefer tomatoes, zucchini, and onions. And don’t toss me any olives. I’ll spit them right out. I guess my person figured out about the olives because I don’t see her chopping any. I mean, it makes more sense to chop the kinds that I like, doesn’t it?
Now I’ve got to figure out how to get her to chop up some meat.

Oh Dog! I am the same way! I love squash the best.

Rumpy, I think I’ll have to get my person to get me some squash. She says she’s not much of a squash fan – except for zucchini – so she never buys it.

My catkid, Dolly, is not much for veggies but she will attack for potatoes. Her favorite is chips but fries are a close second.

Patricia, I’ve never had a cat that ate potatoes. I’ve had some that loved avocados, and Scratchy loves cantaloupe juice. Mostly he just sniffs things and walks away, and Bongo is all over it.

Be careful of those onions because they can be toxic to dogs, (and for some reason I think I remember reading something about having to be careful of tomatoes). Many veggies are grat and healthy for dogs, but some can cause problems. 🙂

Brown Dawgs, thanks for keeping me healthy – but darn, one less thing my person is going to toss my way.

I think my eyes are going because coming back to read your reply and I see a typo I made…lol…I meant that veggies are great (not grat). Since Thanksgiving is coming…talk your human into getting you some pumpkin. 🙂

Brown Dawgs, I’ve never tried pumpkin. Is it good? My person usually gets those frozen pumpkin pies and doesn’t share any with me. I may have to get after her to make her own pie this year.

I don’t really like vegetables. Unless they are covered with cheese. I’ll eat anything if it has cheese on it.

Lola, cheese sounds good but my person won’t give it to me. She says it doesn’t agree with me. It was only once – now I’m banned from it for life.

Ooo Bongo, I love veggies too, but I heard from the poodle down the street that onions and garlic are real bad for you. You better get your person to do that computer thing and check it out.

Pablo, I’m not so sure I want to hear that, but my person says thanks for letting her know.

Kibble, my person says thanks. Guess I’ll have to give up on those onions.

Mouse, my younger person used to give me part of his leftover Subway sandwiches. I’d leave the olives in my dish and eat all the rest.

Bongo my person does the same thing for me! I really like carrots and potatoes the best but I’ve never tried tomato or peppers. I catch pieces out of the air and I also do tricks too. Sometimes when I hear the chopping I go and sit up or hold out my paw before she even asks me to–I’m just trying to save time.

What kind of vegetables do you like Bongo? I know that Gertie and Duke don’t eat carrots, but maybe they’ll eat other vegetables.

Andrea, I eat any kind of vegetable except olives. Lettuce, zucchini, and cucumbers are good.

Bassa, I’m with you. My person had to look up aubergine though and found out it is another name for eggplant. Glad you like the picture. I was really upset though because after my person took it she wouldn’t let me have anything from the cutting board.

What about broccoli or cauliflower?

Sweet Kitten, my person doesn’t often eat broccoli or cauliflower. She says she has to buy more than she can use and they’re not her favorite vegetables.

Sweet and Spice, my person doesn’t let me get near the unhealthy stuff very often – but I’ll eat almost anything so veggies are good.

Bongo, I am sending my bored house cat over to your place for the weekend sleepover party you are now hosting…she loves to eat lettuce so maybe you can share yours??
Thank you for the Follow and I’ll be sure bored house cat brings her own sleeping bag. 🙂

Sunshine, your cat won’t be bored after spending the weekend at my house. My person says she’s had lots of cats but none of them have eaten lettuce, but I guess I’d be willing to share some of mine. Good thing she’s bringing her own sleeping bag though. I’m not sure I want to share my bed.
