Squishy mud, crunchy snow, and all of it cold. I love going out on the trail on snow days. I have to admit that my person makes better crunches though. She has bigger feet.
I got lots of sniffing time in – and there were some good smells – because my person kept stopping to take pictures. She said she was hoping she would get better lighting, but she kept stopping anyway. It was kind of nice – getting to stop that much. My person hardly ever lets me do that.
We met lots of people on the trail and a couple dogs. They were all out enjoying the snow like we were. One man even gave my person a heart. I thought he should give it to me, but I guess my person needs a heart too. I think she should have given it to me after I was good with those dogs though. I didn’t growl or anything.
Back to my sniffing now. I’m doing it for my person – so she can keep taking pictures.

Your area is looking amazing, snow-covered, Bongo!
December 5, 2011 at 11:39 am
B0ng0, it is really pretty here in the snow – at least that’s what my person says. I just like to play in it.

Thanks Kibble. My person says we really do live in a beautiful area and the snow just adds to the beauty.
December 5, 2011 at 12:28 pm
You are wonderful Bongo and the pictures are beautiful, every single one.

Those mountains in the snow! Gorgeous! Your person makes beautiful pictures, Bongo. 🙂
December 5, 2011 at 2:08 pm
Thanks Dianda. My person has fun taking pictures and I have a great time in the snow.
December 5, 2011 at 2:46 pm
Bongo, your person took some beautiful photos! And I love the heart and agree your person needs a heart too. Good for you for not growling or barking at the other dogs. And I see you’ve got snow falling on your blog too! We have snow here today in Michigan but it’s not sticking. 😦
December 5, 2011 at 3:02 pm
Laurie, my person says thanks and me too. Our snow is going away, but sun is good too. My person and I just saw your post on Bassa’s BBC Channel. Bassa made a good choice in featuring your Happy Endings post.
December 5, 2011 at 3:06 pm
Thanks Bongo! I was excited to see that Bassa reported my story on his new channel (I love his idea for a “good news” channel – very much needed!). I’m just grateful that I had such good news to share with my Happy Endings post! 🙂
December 5, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Your person’s picture are lovely and you look quite handsome. Just looking at the snow made my toes cold.
December 5, 2011 at 3:05 pm
Thanks Patricia. Snow does make your toes cold, but I have so much fun in it I don’t really notice.
For the Love of My Dogs
December 5, 2011 at 4:51 pm
The heart is great and I love all of the photos. What an absolutely beautiful day! Bongo, I’m glad you got to squish and crunch around!
December 5, 2011 at 9:35 pm
Thanks Deannamelanie, it felt really good being able to squish in the mud and crunch in the snow.
December 5, 2011 at 5:31 pm
Oh my stunning pictures! I would have just been standing there gaping at the beauty.
December 5, 2011 at 9:38 pm
Brown Dawgs, you’ll have to come visit some time. It’s beautiful here even when it’s not snowing.
December 5, 2011 at 5:51 pm
Bongo, I love those photos your human makes. You need to sneak and post some photos of your human’s paintings sometime!
December 5, 2011 at 9:47 pm
Thanks Rumpy. My person says you can see some of her paintings on her Facebook page in her Wall Photos. https://www.facebook.com/LauraLeePratt. She won’t post the new paintings yet though, because she doesn’t want to spoil the Christmas surprise for her family. I think I’ll have to get her to paint one of me before she’ll post it here, but she says she’s not good enough at dogs yet.
December 5, 2011 at 7:10 pm
Wow Bongo, the snow makes a beautiful and enigmatic contrast with the cactuses to me. The scene is very aesthetic!!! Thanks for sharing the pics with us! 🙂
December 5, 2011 at 9:49 pm
Thanks Kevin. My person has some even better pictures with snow all over the cactus from last year. She says she’ll let me post them sometime.
December 5, 2011 at 7:22 pm
I really need to move to a place with a better view.
December 5, 2011 at 9:50 pm
Wonderbutt’s person, you can come here anytime – as long as you bring Wonderbutt (and Mrs. P.I.B. too).
December 5, 2011 at 8:55 pm
What breathtaking shots! Love the one with the cactus!
December 5, 2011 at 9:51 pm
Bassetmomma, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the great compliment.
December 5, 2011 at 9:36 pm
Sometimes my Mom takes me on “smell walks” where she lets me stop and sniff as much as I want! Arizona looks like a great place to live. How about I trade you a few NYC skyscrapers for one of those mountains?
December 5, 2011 at 11:40 pm
Uptown Dog, I might trade for a little while if I can go explore inside those skyscrapers. Better yet, why don’t we both hang out in Arizona.
December 5, 2011 at 10:23 pm
Amazing pictures Bongo. I love the heart! You are so lucky to walk in such magnificent surroundings!
December 5, 2011 at 11:25 pm
Thanks Bassa. I really love my trails and it was pretty cool that that man gave my person a heart.
December 6, 2011 at 1:24 am
What a beautiful environment, Bongo, I love the pictures and your stories:-)
December 6, 2011 at 11:48 am
Thanks Angelswhisper. My person agrees that it’s beautiful. I just like it for my trails – they’re the best.
December 6, 2011 at 4:02 am
There was snow on our mountains last week. I think it needs to stay on the mountains.
December 6, 2011 at 11:51 am
Pippa, my person says snow in the mountains is very pretty. I like it when I can play in it – but it always goes away too fast for me.
December 6, 2011 at 1:57 pm
Madam Lasagna instructs me to ask you to send the snow to Pennsylvania. She enjoyed a late October snow and is anxiously awaiting another chance to make snow angels. We love your blog Bongo! You look very “sharp” among the cacti!!! 🙂
December 6, 2011 at 3:14 pm
Thanks Wayside Artist, and thanks for stopping by and commenting. Tell Madam Lasagna we’re quickly running out of snow but I’m sure she’ll have some of her own to make snow angels with soon.
December 7, 2011 at 12:58 am
Bongo what beautiful pictures, I love Sedona
it is one of my favorite places to visit. I have
only been there on the summer so I’ve never
seen snow. Looks like a wonderful place to
crunch in the snow & smell. Hope you get more snow to play. In 🙂
December 7, 2011 at 9:10 am
Thanks Tylers. We don’t get much snow here, but it sure is beautiful when it’s around.
Chancy, Mumsy and Crew
December 9, 2011 at 5:03 am
Sweet Bongo your snow is beautiful as are all the pictures. That heart rock is just way cool! Stay warm and have fun in the snow. Mumsy liked the picture of the cactus in the snow. Hugs and nose kisses
December 9, 2011 at 8:40 am
Chancy and Mumsy, thanks. I thought the heart rock was cool too, and my person always thinks it’s kind of neat to see cactus in the snow. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.
December 11, 2011 at 3:42 pm
WOW! You live a beautiful place! We loved the pictures!
God Bless You!
Chuck and the Collies 🙂
December 11, 2011 at 4:41 pm
Chuck and the Collies, glad you enjoyed the pictures. My person says it is a very beautiful place here. I think it’s beautiful because it has great trails.
December 13, 2011 at 8:31 pm
Bongo, I don’t care for snow but that is very, very beautiful there!
December 13, 2011 at 9:21 pm
Lindy, my person says it’s always beautiful when it snows here. I just like playing in it.
December 14, 2011 at 7:58 am
