Stopping for Sunflowers

04 Oct
Bongo Behind Bars

I’m stuck at the dog hotel and I take no responsibility for what’s posted here.

This time of year the sunflowers are out. I don’t see any of them when I’m on my trails, but they show up along the roadsides and they even show up in my backyard. And this year they showed up at the beginning of my trails. We didn’t have a bike rack here last year. That must be the attraction. The sunflowers wanted to hang out with the bike rack.

Sunflowers behind a bike rack

Bongo, bike rack, and sunflowers

I was getting pretty tired of hanging around while my person kept taking pictures. There’s trails calling out to me. I’m ready to go on an adventure.

I figured as long as I had to hang out anyway I’d keep busy and get a good whiff of those sunflowers.

That whiff reminded me of something. I can’t believe I was so excited to hit the trails that I almost forgot to do this.

Oh Bongo! You peed on the sunflowers! I thought it was pretty nice of them to want to hang out with the bike racks. LOL!

Bassetmomma, I had to leave a message for my friends. It was nice of those sunflowers to be there for me.

Sunflowers – one of my all time favourite flowers. Lucky you, although I’m sorry to hear you are being subjected to the dog hotel.

Susan, I’ll be really glad to get out of this dog hotel and hang out with the sunflowers again.

I wondered if you would be leaving a message… In springtime there are loads of sunflowers in Bulgaria..fields of them..they are used for making cooking oil

Patreciau, I bet all those sunflowers are really pretty – and it would be wonderful to have so many flowers to leave messages on.

Thanks Doggy’s Style. Those flowers won’t survive without some water.

…I was about to say, what’s happened to those messages, until I saw that last shot! What good is a bike rack without the messages!

Marina, someone must have taken down my message boards – but I made sure they got the message anyway.

Dalton, I agree. What good are flowers without a mark on them?

It’s a sad picture of you behind bars Bongo but good to see you “stretch your leg” 🙂

Thanks Bassa. I can’t wait to get out and stretch my leg again.

Me too Misaki. I’m really missing my person and my trails. Maybe I’m even missing Scratchy – well, maybe not.

BOL! You did a good job to water those beautiful sunflowers, Bongo! *whispers* I do the same sometimes when I am on my walkie…hee hee…
The contrast of bike rack with sunflowers matches very well! 🙂

Bongo and the sunflowers! Actually that has has a nice ring to it, if he ever decides to start a band, that would be a great name! XD Looks like he had a nice day 🙂

Kirby, I think that’s a great idea. A new band called Bongo and the Sunflowers. We could bark and howl all we wanted. Want to join the band?

For sure! Kirby definitely has enough energy to be in any band, and if he were to be a flower I could think of none other that resembles him as much as a sunflower. He may have to work on his vocals a little more as all I keep getting from him is a one-toned “ruff” 😀

Kirby, we can get several dogs with different toned “ruffs” and we will have a chorus. Woo woo!

Wow, Bongo, the Sunflowers must be very happy for your kindness to watering them 😀

Angels Whisper, I’m sure they were especially happy since we haven’t had any rain lately. I probably need to go out and water them again.
