I was walking down the wash on my trails and I found some really cool stairs. I thought I’d check them out. And the only way I know how to check out stairs is to climb them.
So up I went – climbing up those stone steps.
This might be really something. Stone steps. It sounds like I might be on my way to an ancient mystery or something.
I finally made it to the top. It took me a really long time. Maybe 30 seconds or something.
Whew! That was hard work.
So I got to the top and found some letters on one of the rocks.
.
Now this really is a mystery. I don’t know what those letters say. It’s a word I don’t understand.
I had to get my person to help me with this. She always helps me when I can’t read something.
Private?
Why would it say that?
Isn’t that someone who’s in the army?
Why would they put Private on a rock at the top of these stairs?
I think I’d better go to that house up there and check this out.

That is a mysterious word. I can’t imagine what it means, either. Let us know after you check it out, B.

Cupcake, for some reason my person wouldn’t let me go ask the people in the house what that word meant. Sometimes I can’t figure my person out.

Exactly right, Bongo! Don’t forget the hat too!!!
You could also ask them why they wrote that at the top of the stairs!
🙂

Marina, I’ll be investigation this thing with my hat on for sure – as soon as my person rescues me from the dog hotel.

Gosh, those stairs look very inviting – I would have climbed them too! I wonder what happens if you cross beyond them?

Blueberry, I think I’m going to have to investigate and find out what happens.

Ooops…might have to leave those stairs alone Bongo…although maybe you could bark at their door and make friends

Gizmo, I bet those people would be happy to see me.

Thinking it your own version of a “welcome” sign! If they REALLY meant it, should have been at the bottom of the steps…curiosity only killed the cat…doesn’t apply to pups…I say go for it…:)

Max, I’m on it – and maybe I’ll ask them why that sign isn’t at the bottom of the steps.

We found a stone bridge on our walk in the park once. That was neat! Nothing said private, though.

Jen, a stone bridge sounds like fun. Except for these steps we mostly just have a lot of stones on my trails.

A mystery indeed, but I’m sure you will get to the bottom of it all Bongo 🙂

Misty Shores, I’ll be investigating further as soon as my person rescues me from the dog hotel and I can get back on my trails.

Folks do the strangest stuff – why would they invite you to come up by putting stairs but then put private on it?? *confused ears*

Dalton, it doesn’t make any sense to me either.

Benny & Lily, their yard didn’t look nearly as inviting as my trails. I think they’re missing out.

That Stone stairs looks so mysterious, Bongo! The way to pile the stone and the sunlight….then, why they forbid someone to come in the place? I don’t understand….there might be some dangerous dogs inside of the gate? What will it happen if we accidentally cross it? Hmmmm…very mysterious…..

Kevin, I’ve never heard any dogs barking from that direction so I might have to cross the line and see what’s up there. Want to come?

Little Binky, that’s right. I’m the Private Investigator. That must be an invitation for me to come up and visit.

That just means that’s a private rock Bongo – so you can’t take it home, that’s all.

Lola, that’s a good thought. I’ll leave that rock there and maybe take another one home.
