Where is Everybody?

18 Jan

Bongo and prickly pear cactus in the sunThere are hardly any people – or dogs – on my trails compared to what there were a few weeks ago.

I don’t get it.

The weather hasn’t changed.

If anything it’s gotten warmer – and sunnier.

My person says they all left town after the holidays to go back home.

Back to their houses in the snow.

I wish they’d send some snow over here.

.

That would be perfect – warm sunny days with snow to play in.

But there’s no snow.

There’s no people.

And there’s no dogs.

Bongo looking like he doesn't know what to do

How am I supposed to have any adventures?

Bongo curled up in his kennel

Guess I’ll go take a nap.

I would send snow if I knew how we have plenty and we will be getting extreme cold starting tomorrow night. That part I do not like

Fredrieka, I’m trying to figure out how to have snow and warm weather at the same time. When I figure it out I’ll let you know.

Best thing to do in situations like this is to find some mischief..that is always fun and keeps you busy. You could de-flock the sofa, chew the legs on a few chairs or sort out a few cupboards.
On the other hand you could wait patiently for people to return…or I could come and visit!

Patrecia, if you came for a visit that would be the most fun. My person keeps locking me in dog jail when she leaves so I can’t do those other things.

Hmmmmm, that is a dilemma. I make my Mom play Frisbee with me in the front yard every three hours or so. And of course I check my peemail while I’m out there. Would that help? ~Cooper from 2catsandacattledog.com

Cooper, maybe if you came and played Frisbee with me. I make my person do that with me too – but I still would like a few more adventures when I’m on my trails.

If there’s nobody around to play with you, a nap is a good Plan B. The jail looks cozy. I hope some friends come out to play tomorrow.

Cupcake, I just went out on my trails again and there were people up on the side of the hill chanting. They really had it down. They all chanted in unison and you could hear it all over my trails. It was strange. Guess I’ll go take another nap.

What is this “snow” of which you speak? I don’t recognize that word.

Max, I’m beginning to wonder what it is myself. I haven’t seen any of it here this year. Lots of sunshine though. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Hopefully your next walk will have some delightful surprise in it! I’m hoping for some beautiful flowers or a fabulous new friend for you Bongo!

Viciously Sweet, I’m looking for a friend. Even though it’s warm and sunny here my person says I still have to wait a couple months for the flowers.

oh, Bongo, what a very sad face…chin up, maybe it will be like the movie Annie. the sun will come up, tomorrow, tomorrow. maybe you should get your person to hook you up a big flat screen so you can watch adventure films. classics, like Lassie or Rin-Tin-Tin when you have some down time. like now. 🙂

Sun, I guess if I watched adventures on the TV and I didn’t have any of my own I could share other people’s adventures.

Lexie and Mica, I wish I had some snow to play in. But the cold can stay away.

Oh no…poor Bongo….cheer up! I’m sending some snow to your way as we had a little snow sheeted the roof yesterday. It was not much enough but I’ll gather it for you! 🙂

Thanks Kevin – and I’m so glad you’re back. I missed you. We’re having lots of sunny, warm weather here so I guess the snow would melt. Got to figure out a way to have snow and sunny and warm at the same time.

Andrea, you’d think all those people would want to stick around with all the good weather we’re having.

Chancy and Mumsy, a few more people and dogs have finally showed up, but not nearly as many as were here during the holidays.
