Deserted in the Storm

05 Jul

Bongo in his dog jail on his new bedYesterday was Independence Day and I think my people got it all wrong.

They thought they could be independent of me for awhile.

And they left me.

In dog jail.

While they went gallivanting about.

And while they were gone it rained.

And it thundered.

I got really scared.

I don’t think my people cared at all.

Because they didn’t get one drop of rain on them.

And the thunder was far away from where they were.

I hope you feel sorry for me now because I don’t think my people do.

They didn’t even bring me treats.

All they have to show for themselves are these pictures.

Ku, I’m giving my people the sad look so they’ll feel sorry for me and give me lots of treats – I hope.

We are sending you extra loves for all you’ve been through, B. I think your family should NEVER leave you alone ever again.

    Love and extra licks,
    Cupcake

Thanks Cupcake. I totally agree. They can leave the cats but I should always get to go with them.

Egads, you reminded me I need to send treats and shampoo to a humane shelter in AR dear to my heart. Treats, too. Glad you were inside and safe during the storm, though. Hoping for treats today and tomorrow.

Roberta, those animals at that shelter will love you when they get those treats. And I guess my dog jail keeps me safe from the storm – even if it won’t let me run away from the storm.

Poor Bongo being left alone and then the thunder came. Give them the ‘look’ and they can’t help but give you more lovin’ and treats…..works every time.

Barbara, I’ve been practicing the ‘look’ all day.

Oh, Bongo, I think they wanted to make sure you are safe and as you know, in your little house, nothing can harm you, no thunder and no fireworks. That’s probably why they went alone! 😉

Marina, I think I would have been safer with them. Where they were the thunder was a distant phenomenon (did I say that word?).

It’s the influence of your Greek friend probably! 😉

Now I know where those big words come from. I guess I can’t say it’s all Greek to me because you’ll explain it to me.

Oh no…so sorry that you couldn’t see these beautiful fireworks….but I’m sure you wouldn’t like the sound….they ARE beautiful with very weird noise…..In Japan, fireworks is one of the things Summer, so almost everyday, we hear this sound somewhere…..

Angel Kevin, I’ve been missing you. My person was almost ready to email your person to find out where you’ve been. I don’t like the weird noise that fireworks make, but my person thinks it would be pretty cool to get to see fireworks almost every day in the summer.

I’ve been missing you, too Bongo. I’m very sorry that our absence made you and your person worried…. My person had been on holidays traveling in Paris and in Bergen( Norway) for 9days and couldn’t read your posts….Now she is back and has fun reading all of your posts that we missed! 🙂

Bongo. The pictures are beautiful, however, I imagine you were horribly scared. That is why they put you in dog jail. When it’s thundering and there are loud booms like that, your dog jail actually keeps you safe.

Kimberly, my person says thanks but I still don’t think she should leave me like that.

Dalton, I gave them the sad eyes so they’d give me extra treats. For some reason it never works though.

Thanks Epicaldragon. I agree with you. Treats are better than fireworks any day.

I’d do that but I can’t seem to keep any treats that long.

Oh, no!!! Sweet Bongo they left you in jail with it thundering and raining and didn’t bring you treats?? Now that is just a big no-no. Did you pout, that is what Chancy does and it works every time. Those are some pretty fireworks. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I’ve been giving my people the sad eyes, but so far no extra treats. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.
