Exploring Sugarloaf

03 Oct

Ever since my blogging friend Bassa climbed up a mountain awhile back I’ve been wanting to climb a mountain. My person finally said it had gotten cool enough today so we could go. The mountain we climbed isn’t really a mountain – it’s a big rock called Sugarloaf.

My person got a little upset with me when she had to drag me away from the stuff I was sniffing. She said she was hoping I would pull her up the mountain. When we went back down I did try to pull her, but she wouldn’t go for it and kept walking at the same pace. A dog just can’t win.

At first I had fun sniffing all the new dog smells and didn’t care much about the scenery.

But I finally started looking around.

On the way back I had to cross a slippery slope.

Here are some pictures of Sugarloaf – the big rock we climbed.

When we got back home I was concerned for a bit. Scratchy didn’t want to climb the rock with us and he was hanging out at home. I was thirsty. What if he drank all the water in my water dish?

Those pictures are gorgeous!!!! I’d like to see Wonderbutt make it up there, but I think I’d end up carrying him!

Thanks. Wonderbutt could make it. All you do is follow the smells.

I have not figured out if he can smell or not. He can definitely create smells, though.

Bongo, you are soooo cute. I think you must smile in every picture! Sugarloaf is very pretty and it looks like you had a pretty good time, I think so anyway. Hopefully you were able to sniff out some good smells like you wanted too…. :o)

Hi Janie – Thanks for visiting my site. And thanks for the compliments. I smile a lot when I’m doing things I like – like going for walks and finding new smells. My person stopped by your site. She likes you site because she says I’m almost an older dog – but I don’t believe her.
