Who Needs the Internet?

05 Nov

Computer DogMy people were gone for a long time and when they came home they said the Internet had gone down. I don’t know what that means. My person said she couldn’t check her email or Facebook and my younger person couldn’t work on the research for a paper he needed to write. All that didn’t really mean much to me, but then my person said something else.

She said that I wouldn’t be able to read any comments from my dog blogging friends, and I couldn’t answer any. Now that hurts. What is this Internet thing anyway? When it goes down you mean I won’t hear from Bassa or Rumpy or Bones? What about Lola, or my friend who shares my name – the other Bongo? You don’t mean I can’t talk to the 2 Brown Dawgs, or the Iowa Dogs, or my friends Amy, Mumsy, and Deannamelanie and all their animals? And what about Wonderbutt? Oh man, this really hurts. And I’ve got lots other friends too. Too many to mention them all. Whatever this Internet thing is, I sure hope it gets up soon. Is there such a thing as an Internet alarm clock?

Rumpy, my person says computers can be very frustrating at times. I’m glad I’m not the one who has to fix it. She says this time it must have been a problem at the other end because it was back on in the morning.

Good Morning Bongo! I am sorry your internet went down. No internet for dogs or people can be RUFFFF.

RUFFFF isn’t the word for it. Who thought that a dog would need the internet too.

Thanks Sandra. Guess I wouldn’t be much good at blogging without the internet.

I think the canines and felines like the Internet more than they like to let on that they do. Take our Ched for instance. Many a day, I find him pawing the keyboard, writing cryptic notes to his online buddies and “penning” a review now and then. It’s all good Bongo, it’s all good. 🙂

Geraldine, who ever thought when they invented the internet that dogs and cats would depend on it. I’m not sure if we should let that out to too many people though – only special ones.

Oh Bongo, I do hope your internet is all better now, especially for your human’s sanity! Computer malfunctions are really no fun, especially if you are like me…not good at fixing those technology problems. Harley, Scarlett and little Chelsea send their love and say they hope to hear some fun Bongo stories soon!

Deannamelanie, my internet is all better. My person says it was a problem somewhere else. The next morning it was back on. Hi back to Harley, Scarlett, and Chelsea.

I am pleased it was only temporary Bongo. My internet can be quite intermittent here and usually goes to sleep several times a day!!

Bassa, it’s a good thing my internet doesn’t go out very often. Do you get frustrated when your goes to sleep? My younger person sometimes gets very upset when ours does. My person says he’s had internet most of his life, so he’s very dependent on it, although I think my person has gotten very dependent on it too.

We totally understand. When we go off to the cabin there is no tv. We are OK with that, but there is also no internet! Now that is roughing it. 😉

Brown Dawgs, it must be hard not being able to talk to your dog blogging friends while you’re at the cabin. I bet you make up for it by getting to run around and have fun though.

I hear ya, Bongo! I haven’t had internet at home for almost a week, and it’s driving me crazy! I have to sneak in as much internet time at other places as I can. Thanks for the shout out, by the way! 🙂 Hope your internet is working better now.

Andrea, that must be awful missing the internet for that long. Mine came on the next morning. It’s a good thing because my younger person gets really upset when it’s down.
