I don’t believe it. I headed to my (I mean my person’s – sorry) computer to write my blog and I found Scratchy sitting on it. And Scratchy wasn’t about to get off. The computer is a laptop and it was closed up, so there was no way I could use it with Scratchy there. I couldn’t even push him to the side. In other words, he had to move.
It would be one thing if he tried to steal my blog again. I could at least get on there when he finished and comment on what he said. But no. He didn’t even want to write. He just wanted to keep me from writing.
Well, finally I’d had enough and I jumped up at him. I don’t hurt him. I don’t even get close to him, but it usually gets him to move. My person doesn’t like it when I do that though so I got yelled at. At least Scratchy moved so I could get on the computer. I wish my person would think before she yelled at me though. How would she like it if Scratchy kept her from writing her blog?

Scratchy is probably rubbing it in too huh?

Rumpy, I think Scratchy’s just jealous because I have my own blog and he doesn’t.

If you are a good dog, Santa Claus would give you your own laptop?

Sweet Kitten – Wow! my own laptop. That would be something. I’d better put that on my wish list. I wonder if Scratchy would sit on it if it was mine?

LOL Hey, a dog’s gotta do what a dog’s gotta do! 😀

Daisy, you’re right. I’ve gotta do whatever it takes to get Scratchy off that laptop. He’s really a brat sometimes.

Bongo, you’re just lucky that Scratchy isn’t so heavy that he cracks the laptop’s top because if he did that, it might be unusable.

Sandra, I hadn’t thought of Scratchy breaking the laptop. Maybe I’d better tell my person to stop feeding him.

Maybe next time you should give Scratchy a big ole slimy wet lick right on his head. That would probably get him to move…or scratch your eyes out…maybe not a good idea.

Katyoparty, giving Scratchy a slobbery kiss is a good idea. He would definitely move, but then eeew – I would have his hair stuck all over my tongue.

I think you need a little bag of catnip for such moments! I have yet to see the cat that refuses to move for that!

Wonderbutt’s person, what a great idea. I’ll have to get my catnip stash that I can bring out when necessary.

ARGH. Is it official Cat on the Computer Day? No one warned me – I missed the memo. (Bet Scratchy really hates wet doggie nose on that sleek coat. I can see the frenzy of cat fur cleaning now….) Good job Bongo

Karen, Cat on the Computer Day it must be. As long as Scratchy doesn’t get more paint on his paws and dance on the keys. All I have to do is get near Scratchy and he usually leaves, wet kiss or not – so he didn’t hold the fort down on top of the computer for long.

Amy I guess you’re right. Scratchy lies on all kinds of things. At least he doesn’t get on my bed.

Time to buy Scratchy his own laptop? 😉
Funny little anecdote you got here, Bongo.

Thanks Nel. I don’t think Scratchy would no what he’s supposed to do with a laptop. He doesn’t even have his own blog and he keeps trying to steal mine. Maybe we could get him a box that looks like a laptop. He’d never know the difference.

How funny…Bongo, I think it’s another weird cat habit. When I leave my laptop on the couch, Roory is almost always there, taking a nice snooze. Something about that warm computer…

Deannamelanie, I wonder what it is about cats? They always have to lay on something. When my person leaves clothes on the bed Scratchy doesn’t just lay anywhere on the bed – he’s on the clothes that are on the bed.

Bassa, I wish Scratchy would keep my bed warm instead. Then if he didn’t move I could just lie on top of him.
