Oh man, I can’t believe it. My person is leaving today. Something about Thanksgiving. I think that’s the holiday where I’m supposed to get turkey, but my person is going away and she’s not taking me. Oh, she’s taking me somewhere alright. She’s taking me to the dog hotel. She said something about wanting to spend Thanksgiving with family. Well, aren’t I her family?
My person said she’s going on an airplane because it would take too long to drive and she doesn’t think I would like the airplane. I don’t like the dog hotel either. I’ll go on the airplane – if it means I get turkey on Thanksgiving.
But wait a minute. Maybe the dog hotel has turkey on Thanksgiving. After all, they do give us room service. Maybe that dog hotel isn’t so bad after all.

Sorry you can’t be with your person on Thanksgiving, but look on the bright side: perhaps the doggy hotel will show Animal Planet tv!

Sandra, that would be cool to watch Animal Planet. My person doesn’t watch TV (she’s too busy blogging) so that would be a special treat.

Sorry you can’t go with your person. But be thankful that she is still taking good care of you by giving you a safe place to spend the holiday. And you might meet some interesting characters while you are there.

Patricia, I already met a really nice golden lab. He tossed me a ball.

Don’t worry Bongo’s person. Bongo will be fine and will have a great time making good friends and eating a great dinner. You need to put it out of your mind and just soak up all that love from your family. Bongo will be there when you get home wagging his little tail and so happy to see you

Kibble, I have two dogs to love on me where I am, but I still miss Bongo. I know he’ll be happy to come home when I get back.

My Rosie will be heading to the dog B&B. I hope Bongo has as much fun at the hotel as she will at there.

Winsomebella, Bongo already made a friend there – a yellow lab – but I’m not sure how excited he is about being there.

Bongo, I bet you’ll have a fun time at the doggy hotel and maybe even meet some cool pups 😀 Happy early Thanksgiving from the animal crew!

Deannamelanie, Happy Thanksgiving to you and and the dogs too. I’m still looking for the turkey.

So, Bongo, doing the pity thing. We all know as soon as your person is out of sight/ smell/hearing, off you go into a frenzy of play with other residents. (Someone peeked and told) OK so it’s not home, but snug warm and dry with companionship. Know there will be some sighs…especially when it’s quiet. But your person always comes back and feels sooo guilty that it’s spoil Bongo a bit more when she returns (I know you already have a list of “make-up” suggestions started) But hey, it’s a dog’s life – make the most of it. Smoochies

Karen, please don’t tell my person that I’m having fun. I want to get the most out of this when I get home.

Bongo, I think flying would be terrifying for you! I would be so worried to have Gertie and Duke fly, and I could never have them go in the cargo area because I would be having a panic attack the entire time.
I think you’ll have fun play time at the doggie hotel. I hope you and your person have wonderful Thanksgiving!

Andrea, I don’t think I would be good at flying either. Happy Thanksgiving to you Gertie and Duke too.

Driving is not bad, but I don’t think I want to fly in a plane. I think you’re much better off at the hotel.
I like my hotel because the girls who work there are so friendly and we all get to play in the back yard. Plus the food there is really good. I bet you’ll have a great Thanksgiving!

Lola, my person said there were dogs on the plane she was on, but I don’t think I’d take very well to flying. There are nice people at the dog hotel I stay at too.

Bongo, it saddens me that you will not be a guest attending the Family Thanksgiving but it’s for the best because doggies are not suppose to eat turkey, it’s bad for you like grapes, raisins, chocolate and I think you get the picture huh? Bongo, God uses different people to relate a message to His children and in your case it’s you. Thanks for bringing a smile on my face. HAPPY THANKSGIVING BONGO. My doggies Tessie and Milo will not be able to attend the family Thanksgiving as well 😦

Tri, my person is hanging out with two of my cousin dogs right now and they don’t even get to go to Thanksgiving dinner so I guess I shouldn’t feel so bad. Happy Thanksgiving to you Tessie and Milo.

When you get the room service, you might want to inquire about personal massages. I hear those can be great, too!

Wonderbutt’s person, massages sound really good. I’ll have to check that out.

Enjoy your stay at the dog hotel, Bongo.
Turkey’s a lot like chicken. Perhaps you can ring for room service and ask for a nice steak (Ooops. Just don’t tell your person I suggested that; she’s the one paying for your stay at the hotel.).
Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving! =)

Nel, I bet my person will just pay the bill and not notice what’s on it. I think I’ll see if they have steak on the menu.

Bassa, great idea. Let’s see, I think I’ll have a steak with a big juicy bone in it, some dog treats, and maybe some peanut butter for dessert.

Hi Bongo. Sorry about the dog hotel…if I lived closer, I’d invite you over to my house for Thanksgiving. My dogs always get a bowl of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. I bet you’d like it as much as they do!

Nancy, as long as it’s my person coming back to take me home I’m okay with it. It’s just that taking me to the dog hotel I’m unhappy with.
