The weather was perfect for heading to the trails today. A nice, sunny day and the temperature felt just right. Not too hot and not too cold. I felt a little disappointed that the mud had disappeared, but the ground was still moist which makes it more comfortable to walk on than when it is hard and dry.
My person and I saw lots of people on the trails today. When we started out we found people heading toward us from three different directions. It made it hard to decide which way to go. Which person looked the most likely to give me loves? We kept passing people – even on the trails that hardly anyone else uses.
Something was really strange though. I felt like an only dog today. I began to wonder if they’d banned dogs from the trails and nobody told me. We almost always see other dogs on the trail – but not today.
I’m trying to figure out if I should round a few of my dog friends up – or keep all the trail people to myself.

Maybe you can invite Ghost Dog to join you. 😉

Brown Dawgs, I could invite Ghost Dog, but I think he’d disappear on me.

Dianda, my trails are the best. Sometimes my person and I take extra long walks on them and then post lots of pics on my blog.

Sometimes I like having the whole trail to myself so I can really concentrate on the wild smells.

Lola, smells are the best aren’t they? Sometimes we see lots of people and dogs on the trail and sometimes we have it all to ourselves. It is kind of nice to have it to yourself. It’s like you own the trail.

I keep wanting to attach a GPS to Rosie to see how much more distance she covers than I on a trail.

Winsomebella, my person says she used to have a dog like that. She makes me stay on a leash. She says there are more people and dogs on our trail now, and if she let me go she’s not sure when I would come back. I don’t think she trusts me.

What a cool trail! I have never seen red dirt before. Does it taste different than regular dirt?

Uptown Dog, my trails are pretty cool. All we have is red dirt here, so I don’t know what regular dirt tastes like. I thought red dirt was regular.

What lovely trail. The German would like to go there and run and run and run and run and run. (Maybe my person wouldn’t complain about all the dirt clods and grass dug up by big feet.) U one lucky dog: King of the Trail.

Karen, The German and I could have great fun running together.

See, if you’d let Ghost Dog come along you would’ve had a buddy but I betcha he won’t ever want to come with you since you chased him from your yard.

Sandra, Ghost Dog might come with me, but I think he’d disappear into the woods.

Deannamelanie, I’m trying to get all my dog blogging buddies to come along on the trail with me – but my person says there’s a problem with distance – whatever that means.

From the looks of it, Wonderbutt would last about two minutes on that trail. But he would love both minutes!

Wonderbutt can hang out on my trails any time – but I’d make him stay longer than two minutes.

Sweet Bongo sometimes it is just good to be alone out in nature to enjoy the quiet. Maybe this was just your day for that. We love walking sometimes when there is no other dogs. We get to chase more squirrels and birds that way. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, it is fun when you don’t have to share the squirrels and birds with anyone else. Hugs and nose kisses back to you

B0ng0, that sounds like a great idea. We can be pals on the trail and I’ll get double loves.

Bongo, I think since it’s getting into the you know, Christmas spirit time, you really should find some of your buds to hang with you on your trail. Who knows, you may discover primitive natives who need to see Bongo in action. Just a suggestion. Thank me later….;)

Sunshine, I guess I’ll have to grab some of my doggie neighbors next time I go out on the trail. Maybe we could hang wreaths around our necks so everyone knows we are in the Christmas spirit.

Perhaps the other dogs have gone on hibernation? 😉 [Dogs don’t hibernate, do they?]
Then again, doesn’t it make you feel like “top dog” that you’re the only dog on the trails?

Nel, I did feel kind of like “top dog”. It didn’t last though. My doggie friends have been out since then.
