Walking in the Rain

03 Feb

BongoCome on person. It’s not my fault you were gone all day and then it started raining just when you were going to take me out. You’ve got a hood on your jacket. Put it up. Let’s go.

Go figure. You didn’t even want to go out in the rain and now you’ve got your camera out. See, what did I tell you? It’s really pretty out here when it rains. Keep walking person.

Grayback in Rain

You can look at that rainbow as long as you keep walking while you’re doing it. Put your camera away person. We’re supposed to be going on a walk.

Rainbow behind dead tree

Rainbow over Sugarloaf

It’s a good thing I talked you into going out in the rain. The sun’s going down. It we’d waited until the rain stopped it would have been dark.

Rainy Sunset

You’re already wet person, but since my younger person didn’t come with us would it be alright if I shake myself off on him?

Wet Bongo

I don’t care if he gets mad. I’m doing it anyway.

Looks like you had a good time, Bongo! If you were here in Belgium, you could have a walk with us in the snow!

Sweet Kitten, I love snow. I want to go to Belgium.

When it rains, Elka seems to believe that she might melt. She looks at me reproachfully, and will shake off frequently. Glad you still have fun!

Jen, I love water in any form so I don’t mind getting wet.

The photos are lovely. I used to love to walk in the rain, and then had to get glasses. Now it’s hard to see through the water spots; so I gave up the rain walks.

    • Bongo

      February 3, 2012 at 12:54 pm

Sandra, my person says that’s one reason she likes contact lenses. She used to have the water spot issue too. Maybe an umbrella would keep the water spots off.

Once I walked the dogs in a total downpour, they didn’t care in the least and I had fun myself!

    • Bongo

      February 3, 2012 at 2:57 pm

Jodi, I love getting wet so walking in a downpour sounds fun. The biggest problem is getting my person out the door.

You have the bestest trail–it is pretty even when it rains.

    • Bongo

      February 3, 2012 at 11:47 pm

Patricia, I really love my trails. Sometimes they’re even prettier in the rain than when the sun is shining bright.

You make a good tour guide Bongo . . . a bit pushy but I would still tip you! ^o^ Tell your persons she got great photos even though you were kinda rushing her. See ya!

    • Bongo

      February 3, 2012 at 11:53 pm

Sunshine, I’ve got to keep my person going. The next good smell is just around the corner. My person says thanks for your comment about the photos.

    February 3, 2012 at 11:08 pm

You’re right, Bongo. It wasn’t your fault, so your person shouldn’t complain. After all, she should consider the alternative!

    • Bongo

      February 3, 2012 at 11:57 pm

Henry, I consider my person lucky. It hadn’t rained enough to make any good squishy mud.

It looks like you both had some fun, even if it took some persuading… That rainbow sure was a nice reward. [How did your younger person take it? – Bet he’ll think twice now before saying no to a walk in the rain with you!]

    • Bongo

      February 4, 2012 at 12:07 pm

Marina, my younger person missed all the fun. That’s why I had to get him wet when we got back.

‘Singing in the rain’, don’t you, Bongo 🙂 Very beautiful photo’s and of course lovely pictures of you. We’re freezing out of here and having finally snow in Holland 🙂

    • Bongo

      February 4, 2012 at 12:08 pm

Angelswhisper, my person says she loves that musical “Singing in the Rain.” I don’t know why she doesn’t sing when it rains. We haven’t had much snow here. Could you send some over? I love to play in it.

Awwww…… those pics are sooo beautiful!!! I’m always impressed by the pics in your neighbourhood. Bongo! They are pawsome! The nature makes us realize that we are alive!!! I’m very jealous of you who can look at those scenery in real!!! 🙂

Kevin, it is awfully beautiful here, but the best part for me is having my trails so close by. My person says she likes the trails and the scenery.

Hey Bongo, Jet here. What incredible surroundings to walk in, you’re a lucky dude. We haven’t had rain in a long time, think today is the day. I’m ok with that as long as there are no booms, or flashing lights. Thanks for sharing.

    • Bongo

      February 4, 2012 at 12:13 pm

Hey Jet, I don’t like those booms and flashing lights either. Fortunately we don’t get much of that this time of year – they mostly come in the summer. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’ll stop by your blog too.

Hi Bongo – It’s the German. It’s been pouring here. My person got up really early – it wasn’t very light and said I had to go walk NOW…I didn’t want to get out of bed, but had to…we made it back just as it thundered… *shakes*. ..and we just got back from another walk – all the dogs are out – but we are all being rushed. I’m gonna look for one of those rainbows and pull it over us …maybe it will keep the rain away. *snort and high paws*

    • Bongo

      February 4, 2012 at 2:45 pm

German, I would send you a rainbow but mine aren’t around any more. I don’t like thunder either and my person sometimes makes me go out walking then too. Fortunately we haven’t had any in a long time. We mostly get it in July and August here, and it’s the longest two months of the year.
