Setting up Mischief

05 Mar

Bongo SittingI did that on purpose, person. I let you catch me on the couch. I usually get off before you come in the room. Oops. No, I mean, that was the only time I was on there. Well, that and the other time times you caught me. It’s the Monday Mischief Blog Hop, and I needed some kind of mischief to talk about.  You know how I’m normally such a good dog. I usually don’t do anything wrong. You see how I let you catch me. I had to set it up.

What? What are you talking about? I didn’t do that. Scratchy ate all his food. Yeah, and he moved his dish too. It doesn’t take much to move when it’s empty.

I don’t know why he was so hungry when you got home. You probably didn’t feed him enough, person. Next time maybe you should feed him more. As a matter of fact, that’s a very good idea. You haven’t been feeding Scratchy enough lately.

Your bed? I don’t know what happened. Oh, don’t you remember? You didn’t make your bed this morning. I’m sure you didn’t.

Well, you’re remembering wrong then.

Oh, that. I think my younger person missed the garbage can. He tried to put that stuff in there but he missed and it went on the floor.

I don’t know why it was all chewed up. I’ve got no idea, person.

Aren’t you glad I’m such a good dog? How many dogs do you know that have to set up their mischief so they have something to post on the Monday Mischief Blog Hop?

      Bassetmomma, I didn’t do it.

Sweet Bongo you are one of the smartest doggies we know…good job on the set-up and we know you are a very good dog. Hugs and nose kisses

what are we to do with you? Just give you lots of love and tickles. That is very crafty blaming it onto Scratchy when you knew you had eaten his dinner and you raided the bin!

    • Bongo

      March 5, 2012 at 1:14 pm

Patreciau, I don’t know why no one ever believes me. Scratchy never gets in trouble – well, almost never.

We all have our moments of mischief. DiDi has stolen a whole chicken off the kitchen counter. Bella has learned how to take the lid off of the food container. We enjoyed hearing about your moment of mischief. Have a good day.
    Bella and DiDi

    • Bongo

      March 5, 2012 at 1:16 pm

Bella and DiDi, a whole chicken. Wow! I think I’ve got to work on my mischief skills.

      • Paws To Talk

        March 5, 2012 at 1:28 pm

DiDi: It was delicious Bongo. Although I had a tummy ache later.

      • Bongo

        March 5, 2012 at 4:19 pm

DiDi, why does it seem we always have to pay for our mischief. I hope the tummy ache didn’t last long.

      • Paws To Talk

        March 5, 2012 at 4:25 pm

DiDi: I’m not sure Bongo. I wish I knew. All I remember is the taste of that chicken:)

Bella: When you get older you will learn how to have mischief without paying such a high price. Take it from me. I’m older.

      • Bongo

        March 5, 2012 at 4:49 pm

DiDi and Bella, my person says I’m getting older, but I don’t think so. I think I’d go for the taste of the chicken too.

      • Paws To Talk

        March 5, 2012 at 8:46 pm

Go for the chicken. It is worth it
        Bella and DiDi

        March 5, 2012 at 8:51 pm

Bella and DiDi, I’m on it. Oh wait, I don’t think my person is thinks she’s having chicken for dinner.

      • Paws To Talk

        March 6, 2012 at 3:06 am

That is a hole in the plan. We hope chicken is on your person’s menu soon.

        March 6, 2012 at 10:51 am

        Paws to Talk, me too.

You are a very good dog Bongo, we don’t know how you do it with all that mischief going on around you!

    • Bongo

      March 5, 2012 at 1:16 pm

Dexter, sometimes it’s really hard to remain good with all that mischief going on in my house.

Cupcake, it is really hard for me to stay out of mischief. I have to work at it.

  9. tylersat99

    March 5, 2012 at 2:35 pm

Bongo it’s really good that you thought of something to give your person for Mischief Monday. I mean what would she blog about if you had just been your good self all day? She would have to go see if Scratchy was into something or not write at all! That would be a terrible thing, I think you did your Mom a favor 🙂

    • Bongo

      March 5, 2012 at 4:21 pm

Thanks Tylers. I was thinking that too. I’m sure I could set Scratch up for mischief, but he’d probably get mad at me.

    • Bongo

  12. Flo

    March 5, 2012 at 4:45 pm

    • Bongo

Viciously Sweet, I’m still trying to figure out why my person doubts me.

  18. hotlyspiced

    March 5, 2012 at 10:26 pm

Wow Bongo! You have been busy. That’s a lot of mischief to fit in on a Monday! The chair, the bed, the food and the garbage! You must be exhausted. Best you find somewhere comfy to lie down like on the clean washing – that’s where I can usually find my dogs!

    • Bongo

      March 6, 2012 at 12:52 am

Charlie, clean washing sounds good. Think I’ll go curl up.

I think it’s obvious you did none of those things! Maybe you should add a little halo on the photo above! I believe you Bongo!

    • Bongo

      March 6, 2012 at 10:52 am

Thanks Marina. It’s good to know I have friends that believe in me.

    March 6, 2012 at 6:16 am

Great job Bongo! Amazing how those humans buy all that isnt it? Our favorite trick is everyone of us collies to sit there and as the old guy says.. who did this? we all look around like what? who did what? Oh that? yeah, who did that as we look at each other innocently like we are looking for the culprit…. we have to laugh when he gives up… Great job Bongo!

    Your friends,
    The Collies 🙂

    • Bongo

      March 6, 2012 at 10:54 am

Thanks Collies. With several of you I bet you really have the old guy fooled sometimes. I guess I need a dog buddy or two. For some reason my person never believes me when I tell her Scratchy did it.

*whispers* Did you have fun doing the mischief?? Woof? 🙂

    • Bongo

      March 6, 2012 at 10:56 am

Bongo, make sure you check for video equipment before you do anything when you’re home alone. Scratchy might be setting you up!

    • Bongo

      March 6, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Nanina, thanks for the warning. That Scratchy is up to no good a lot of the time. He might just do that.

    March 7, 2012 at 7:17 am

Bongo, here’s an actor’s tip for you, drama king, whenever you’re in any situation that makes you look, ahem, not so golden, just give your great smile face and shout . . . “just acting!” That way the peoples think you’re just rehearsing for your next stage performance! 🙂 Works all the time! See ya!

    • Bongo

      March 7, 2012 at 11:28 am

Sunshine, that’s a great idea. I’ll have to rehearse that. “Just acting!”

    • Bongo

      March 7, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Lola, those cats are up to no good – and then our people always thing we’re the ones who did everything.
