Stepping for Squeaks

23 Mar

Foot stepping on a ballHey, my person likes the squeaks as much as me. She stepped on my squeaky ball so she could hear the sound it made. She likes it!

What person, you didn’t see it there? It was right in front of you. How could you miss it?

I know where my balls are when it’s dark. If I can’t see something I can still smell it. So why didn’t you smell it? Why didn’t you turn the lights on anyway?

Oh yeah, you were just getting up to go to the bathroom and I left the ball right in your path. Good story. You know you really like to make my ball squeak.

Speaking of the bathroom, can you let me outside now? Hurry person, open the door.

What’s that squeaky sound? Somebody else must like the sound of my squeaks.

I did? I stepped on it? Oops.

Dianda, Scratchy doesn’t care much for balls. He likes pipe cleaners the best. I guess no one notices much when they step on those.

    Bongo,

We think humans like to squeak. Sometimes we catch our mommy squeaking our toys as she puts them back in our toy basket. Of course, we immediately take them out of the basket and squeak away!

Bella and DiDi, for some reason humans don’t want to admit they like the squeaks. My younger person even hides my squeaky toys so I won’t squeak them while he’s around. I bet he squeaks them when no one is looking.

You’re so cute, Bongo. Squeaks are the best, by accident or on purpose. It’s a sure sign that it’s playtime! Yay!

Constant squeaking kind of drives me crazy, so for a long time, Elka didn’t have any squeaky toys.

Then? Well, apparently the squeak makes her think that she’s hurting it. She she plays very excitedly with the toy, but it will hardly squeak at all!

Jen, Elka must be a very gentle dog. I love the squeaky sound, so I squeak my toys as much as I can.

We bet your person loved stepping on the squeeky ball! Doggie toys are so much better than little person toys like legos, Lincoln logs and toy soldiers who are so hard and sharp… LOL

    Great post!

Thanks for your sweet reply, Bongo! 🙂 Well….handball is a ball shaped like a volleyball but a little bit smaller than a volleyball. It’s used for playing handball game. My auntie(mom’s sister) knows one of the professional judges and he kindly gave her a handball that has many autographs of professional Japanese handball players. However I looooved the ball and have made lots of mess biting it, so autie ended up giving it to me as my toy!!! BOL! 🙂

I think the your person is very clever being able to make a ‘post’ on a squeaky ball…..my dogs do not have squeaky toys as they eat them instead, they have a big football, and hard rubber bone, a hard ball and lots of pieces of wood…. but also I do not like squeaky toys!
