Boys are Better

26 Mar

Boys, Bongo and a tennis ballI had a great time on my trails today. I met this cute girl. Anybody who knows me knows how much I like getting loves from cute girls. Well this girl was kind of shy. She said she liked me, but then she was afraid to give me loves. I put on my charm though, and finally I got some loves from her.

But then, something even better happened. I met a bunch of boys and they wanted to give me loves. I’m not picky. I’ll take loves from anyone. But those boys had something even better than loves. They had a ball and they wanted to play. Imagine that, somebody wanting to play ball with me.

I had so much fun with those boys. They tossed the ball for me and I jumped up and caught it. And then they tossed it again. Finally, I gave the ball to my person to toss. I missed it and knocked it into a big pile of prickly pear cactus. That was the end of that ball.

Since my playing time had been cut short I thought maybe I’d see if Scratchy would play with me when I got home. I don’t think he was in the mood though. When a cat hisses does that mean no?

I see… So, when we meet, you prefer to get loves from The Viking instead of me?

Bongo, when a cat hisses, that means cover your eyes! From someone who’s poked at a cat 1 too many times…. Lola

Lola, Scratchy has gotten me on the nose a few times. I keep thinking he’ll get over it though.

I like boys too! I have one boy no girls.

      March 26, 2012 at 2:34 pm

Capacina, my person has three boys – me, Scratchy, and my younger person. No girls around except my person, but she sometimes hangs out with girls from her Sunday school class. That’s fine as long as they give me loves.

Bongo, you look like you had a blast with those boys! I would gladly throw slobbery tennis balls for you for as long as you could stand it 🙂 My throwing arm could use some work lol. I have to agree though, when kitties hiss, it’s best to stay clear! They are a force to be reckoned with when they aren’t happy…

      March 26, 2012 at 5:19 pm

Anastasia, I’ll catch tennis balls as long as someone will keep throwing them for me. Scratchy though – he’s just not a good sport.

    Wow Bongo!
You had a lot of fun!! Lad is very jealous that he wasnt there to play ball.. after all that is his favorite thing. He is however glad we dont have prickly pear in this area… when he asked what prickly pear was I told him it was like a thousand needles in the eye if you ran into it… he was even more glad we dont have prickly pear… sorry your ball game got cut short… Ginger says eat scratchy… LOL….

    Your friends,
    the collies and chuck 🙂

    • Bongo

      March 26, 2012 at 5:29 pm

Collies and Chuck, there’s no prickly pear in my yard so Lad could still come and play ball with me. I was ready to retrieve that ball from the prickly pear and my person wouldn’t let me. I’m not sure why. I’m tougher than those old pricklers.

I’m tempted to do what Ginger says with Scratchy, but I really wish he would play with me.

Brown Dawgs, Scratchy’s pricklers are nastier than cactus pricklers. Believe me, I know.

    Hey Buddy,

You mean Cats don’t hiss ALL the time – maybe it’s just whenever I see them, I so don’t understand Cats – doh!

Glad you had fun with the boys,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

      March 26, 2012 at 11:31 pm

Snoopy, Scratchy only hisses at me when I try to play with him. I guess I’ll stick with the boys.

[the second photo is brilliant! Bongo in action!] With your personality anyone can be fun, Bongo! [Shame about the ball.] As for Scratchy, I think you may be right, hiss usually means no… which is quite strange considering your skills…

    • Bongo

      March 27, 2012 at 11:12 am

Thanks Marina. I found some more balls at home, so I forgot about the one with the pricklers in it. I haven’t figured out Scratchy though. He’s such a party poop. He never wants to play.

Yes, boys are better , they like to run, throw balls, sticks, get dirty!!ich more fun to play with 🙂
Bongo, stop by Fenris has new blogs and got big sticky thing stuck in foot and couldn’t walk! Maybe you could warn of some dangers walking.

    Have great walk 😃😃

    • Bongo

      March 27, 2012 at 11:16 am

Lexie and Mica, I saw Fenris’ sticky thing. That was horrible. We have little sticky things here and those pricklers on the cactus that got stuck in my ball, but those big sticky things like Fenris came across don’t grow here. We’re higher in elevation than where Fenris is. Maybe I’ll have to invite him to share my trails where it’s safer to walk.

Thank you for looking Bongo, I have never seen one of those either, but it looked like it really hurt.

      • Bongo

        March 27, 2012 at 11:34 am

Lexie and Mica, I bet it hurt a lot. Those things don’t seem to want to let go. And if it’s like some of the pricklers here, they still sting after they come out.

Wooohooooo!!! You jumped soo high!!! Those cute boys seemed to be very impressed to watch your jump!!! Awww…Bongo, my mom says that she wants to give her love to you if she has any oppotunity to meet you!!!! *whispers* she is NOT a girl though……BOL! 🙂

      March 27, 2012 at 11:20 am

Kevin, I love to jump. The people at the dog hotel where I go sometimes call me the Happy Jumping Dog. Tell your mom I would love getting loves from her and I would give her some slobbery kisses, but until I meet your mom could you take all the loves for me?

I don’t have any kids at my house, but they come to visit sometimes. I actually like girls better. They play tug with me, throw the ball for me and some of them like to decorate me with flowers. That feels nice. Boys shout and leap around unexpectedly and they often run at me instead of with me, which is not fun.

    • Bongo

      March 27, 2012 at 11:23 am

Lola, those girls decorate you with flowers? I guess some boys are a little wild. These boys were nice and lots of fun. I hope I find them on my trails again.

Amy, Scratchy is even worse than the prickly pear.

Did you get a replacement ball?

    Cheers,
    Nel

      March 29, 2012 at 12:27 pm

Nel, I guess my person plays ball with me and she’s not a boy. I have lots of balls at home so I had more balls when I came home from my trails.
