Whose Blog is this Anyway?

04 May

Cactus FlowerHey person, what do you think this is, a nature photography blog? This is my blog after all, and I don’t want any pictures of those dumb cactus flowers on it. I mean, what are they good for? You can’t even see if they smell good because if you try you might get pricklers up your nose. And I know they’re not good for eating. I wouldn’t even think of taking a bite. And you know me, I eat almost anything.

.

.

.

Now look at this. A tennis ball, waiting for me, right in the middle of my trail. Now that’s something to put on my blog. It’s not every day that a tennis ball shows up. Here’s a newsworthy item. Take a picture of it.

Bongo Sniffing a Tennis Ball

Hey, what are you doing taking more pictures of that stupid cactus? You’re taking more pictures of that than my tennis ball. C’mon, I need more pictures of the tennis ball.

Tennis Ball

Okay, I’ll let you put one more picture up. Only because I need you to help me write my blog. That picture there. You can put that one up. That cactus has personality. It looks like a Transformer.

Susan, I stayed far away from that Transformer Cactus – but the tennis ball was fair game.

I don’t know, Bongo, but I think the cactus flower does look pretty too! Not as pretty as you though!

Hey bongo, jet here. While JJ and I think the tennis ball is way cool, gotta say Mom thinks the flower and cactus are exquisite.

hi Bongo, …so that’s what the flower looks like…we have a similar cactus potted in the upper garden …and yep they have dangerous needles for weapons…xoxox Vanilla Bean

Vanilla Bean, you’ve really got to watch out for the pricklers on those cactus. Some cactus have different colored flowers but they’re all pretty. At least my person thinks so. I’m still voting for the tennis ball.

Those Cactus flowers are beautiful!!! 🙂 Lad says its great you found a ball! YAY!! Ginger says throw the camera in the cactus and you wont have to see cactus pictures anymore…. sigh… Dad says Ginger is Satan Spawn… LOL

Collies, I think Ginger has the best idea yet. Tell your dad to look the other way. I’ll make sure my person isn’t looking when I do it. I’ve just got to figure out how to get that camera away from her without her suspecting anything.

You and Henry are two peas in a pod. He just loves tennis balls, too. In fact, he wrote a post today and wrote about a tennis ball that another dog was playing with, which Henry thought was his. Go figure.

Monica, I just stopped by and read Henry’s post. I might be a commoner compared to him, but we sure think alike.

Jessica, I guess if my person gets me more tennis balls I’ll be okay with it.

It looks like your person is taking too many liberties! Got to give her credit though… that cactus looks really nice. Not that it can compare to the tennis ball, No, No!!!

Marina, I’m glad you see it my way. More tennis balls and less cactus on my blog.

Sugar, that must be pretty cool to live in a flower farm. Do any of those flowers taste good? Have a great weekend.

That cactus flower is sooo beautiful!!! The color is perfect, too! We have some cactuses in our tiny garden, but they rarely have flowers…besides they look unhealthy….we don’t know why…but very hard to grow cactuses, we think. Personally I prefer tennis balls to cactuses!!! Woof!!! 🙂

Kevin, my person says cacti like hot, dry climates which is why you mostly find them in the desert. Where we live is considered high desert and a few varieties grow here, but not all of them because it gets too cold in the winter. Tennis balls are better anyway, and you can find them everywhere.

Bongo tell your person we prefer the pictures of you playing with the rare tennis ball even though the desert is pretty. More Bongo!

Great! Now you’ve started it. Maya & Pierson are adamant that the photograph of the ball is better. No matter how much I point out how beautiful that cactus flower is as compared to the dirty sticky ball, they just won’t give in. 😀

    • Bongo

      May 6, 2012 at 3:43 pm

Maya and Pierson know beauty when they see it. What do you people see in those cactus flowers anyway? You can’t play catch with them – you can’t eat them. What good are they?

Bongo, the German here, – That tennis ball looks like my tennis ball…but I don’t think anyone here can throw that far! Very strange!

German, maybe the wind blew your tennis ball over to my trails. Do you want me to send it back to you? I could send it by Express Mail.

The German: “Thanks Bongo, but my person says lots of tennis balls look the same. Maybe that boot print is a clue to how it got there? Anyway I hope it isn’t there all alone on the trail….Tennis ball don’t like to be orphans – they are only happy if being chased by a dog!”

Bassetmomma, I’m so glad you said that. Maybe my person will listen now since you said that and you’re not even a dog.

Oh Bongo I love those Cactus flowers I’ve never seen one bloom I’ve seen a lot of tennis balls. OK I know they are much more interesting and fun for you:)

      May 10, 2012 at 10:26 pm

Tylers, there are lots of those cactus blooming now. They usually blend into the scenery and you don’t notice them. My person says she can’t believe how many there are. I’ll still stick with my tennis balls.
