Time to Move

30 May

Bongo SleepingThere I was, lying peacefully at my person’s feet. She could have let me sit next to her on the couch, but she makes me lie on the floor. Talk about being a second class citizen.

Anyway, I was lying there peacefully when suddenly I smelled something. It couldn’t have been me I smelled – it must have been my person. But just to make sure I thought I’d better move.

I got up and left the spot by my person’s feet and plopped myself down in the hallway.

Nope, I don’t smell anything here. It wasn’t me, it had to be my person. Or maybe Scratchy. Was he over in that area?

No sooner than I had gotten comfortable in the hallway my person said something about the smell. And you know what? She blamed me!

Hey person, it can’t be me. I’m not even near that area. It must be you, or Scratchy.

What’s a dog to do? I get blamed for everything.

The next time that happens I’m going to stay next to my person and make sure I really stink up the place.

Susan, every once in awhile Scratchy actually gets in trouble – but mostly I get blamed for everything.

Jaz and Rosie, it’s got to be Scratchy. He has a way of convincing my person that he’s always innocent.

Ginger, you have such good ideas. My person would have to believe Scratchy did it.

Hey Bongo, Teddy here. I say let er rip! Nothing makes a guy feel better than a good poot. Of course, my mama thinks that it’s just nasty.

Teddy, the trick is doing it and making sure Scratchy gets the blame.

Do you know we have the same problem in our house…but we have seven dogs to blame but all the time we know it is either GUIDO ..he makes very bad stinks, Rosie who makes stinks but like you decides that it was not her..and Lucky , who similar to you just ignores it.
We have to have a big newspaper folded up like a fan to waft away the pong….

It could have been your person but I think that you should own up to being the guilty party. There is an old saying in England…’Wherever you may be..Let you wind go free’…otherwise you might blow up like a balloon xxxxxxx

Bongo, sometimes Big Binky is laying on my lab smelling like a skunk, so it must have been Scratchy. Well, I think we have this one solved. Btw You haven’t eaten any raw beans, have you, Bongo 😀
Thanks for this morning laugh, Bongo, I think it was a, let me say, smelley matter 😀

Angels Whisper, I’m so glad you realize it was Scratchy. Now I just have to convince my person. She never believes me.

That is so unjust Bongo! I mean not being able to sleep on the couch is one thing but blaming you for something you didn’t do is too much! Strike Bongo!

    • Bongo

      May 31, 2012 at 8:51 am

Marina, I sneak up on the couch when nobody’s looking. Maybe I should leave a stink there before I get down. That would fix them.

Hooowwwwlll! Bongo we think it was Scratchy. No offense to the cat population but he does poop in a box in the house. Your person should be reminded of that fact.

Bella and DiDi, that really isn’t very considerate of Scratchy to do it in the house. It’s gotta be him.

Oh, sweet Bongo it is just not fair you have to lie on the floor…and then get blamed for a stink…oh, my!!! There can always be ‘payback’ on that stinky business. Hugs and nose kisses

      May 31, 2012 at 5:05 pm

Chancy and Mumsy, at least I didn’t have to smell it after I moved into the hall. I’m still not sure why my person thought it was me though when I was so far away.

We can stink up the entire room and we never act like we smell anything. If Mom comments we look at her and ask what??

      May 31, 2012 at 10:58 pm

Lexie and Mica, you don’t have a cat to put the blame on? Cats are kind of a pain, but at least they’re good for blaming.

The cat stays upstairs so she’s never around to blame that only leaves us 😦
