I’m really upset about this – and maybe a little humiliated. Whose blog is this anyway? This is supposed to be a dog blog. Where did all the cats come from?
My person says I need to explain myself. She likes to look at all the searches that find my blog. The ones that keep coming up all the time are the searches that find that dead mouse that my person drew.
I don’t mind that so much. At least the mouse is dead. But there was a new search that found my blog and I’m not happy about it at all. I don’t even want to admit it.
Okay person, I’ll tell them. The search was “bongo cat.” Do they think I’m a cat, or what? This blog is about dogs – there shouldn’t be any cats on it. I know Scratchy steals my blog sometimes. Maybe I should erase his posts so I’m not associated with cats in any way. Look at all these pictures that came up.
At least these pictures show me giving Scratchy what for.
But then I found these other cats. These are my cousin cats that I didn’t even get to harass meet. My person visited them and put their pictures on my blog.
And – do you believe it? The only picture from my blog that came up on that search that doesn’t have a cat in it has a picture of a pesky squirrel.

Seems like your cat and dog seem to be having fun together
June 9, 2012 at 1:27 pm
Dog Trainer, I keep trying to play with Scratchy, but all he does is run away. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
June 9, 2012 at 1:07 pm
WoW Bongo, I thought the blog was about you too that’s why i read it. BUT…maybe your not really there??
June 9, 2012 at 1:27 pm
Lexie and Mica, I think it’s a conspiracy. Scratchy is trying to take over my blog.
June 9, 2012 at 2:08 pm
Hey Bongo! Sorry we haven’t talked in awhile– we’ve been very busy but I’ll tell you, we were shocked to come on your page and see Scratchy taking it over! Just yesterday, Roory decided to lay on the new dog bed all day + not let any of the dogs on. I don’t know who these cats think they are. On another note, I think it is you, Bongo, who is the famous one…I always get searches for “Bongos dog biscuits” 🙂
June 9, 2012 at 2:16 pm
Deanna, my person has been using that busy word a lot lately too and hasn’t had much time to look at my friend’s blogs. I don’t know about those cats. They think they’re going to take over the world – but us dogs are going to have something to say about that.
Wow, I really must be famous, but I’m sure glad I can use my famousness to help people find your blog.
June 9, 2012 at 2:11 pm
I know the feeling. I get approximately 75 hits a week for ONE post that June Buggie wrote….. six months ago! *sighs*
June 9, 2012 at 2:24 pm
Rumpy, we’ve got to keep those cats off our blogs. That’s all there is to it.
June 9, 2012 at 2:20 pm
Are cats taking over your domain?
How y’all doin’? Just hoppin’ by to visit. Hope y’all have been enjoying a fantastic week and are enjoying your weekend!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
June 9, 2012 at 2:25 pm
Hawk, I’ve really got to do something about those cats. Would you like to take one home with you?
Chancy and Mumsy
June 9, 2012 at 2:51 pm
Awww, poor Bongo…you can look at it this way though at least that mouse is bringing traffic (even if it is cats) to your blog. If they keep coming they will fall in love with you and start following and just think how popular you are gonna be then. Everyone should get to know you! Hugs and nose kisses
June 9, 2012 at 5:05 pm
Thanks Chancy and Mumsy, you’re so sweet. You made me feel better. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.
June 9, 2012 at 3:23 pm
Cats. Ugh. They’re everywhere! Take back your blog, Bongo!
Love and licks,
June 9, 2012 at 5:06 pm
Cupcake, I’m kicking those cats off right now. Want to help?
June 9, 2012 at 3:39 pm
Hey Bongo, Jet here.
Dude, take a breath… at least they’re reading your blog! As a manly man, I’m sure you are secure in knowing your identity as a cool dude… Sit back and enjoy it…
BTW… the most searches for us is about peacocks… (go figure!)
June 9, 2012 at 5:07 pm
Hey Jet, I guess you’re right. Scratchy is really helping me by bringing more readers to my blog. Although maybe I should trade Scratchy for a peacock.
June 9, 2012 at 9:44 pm
that’s a good one… scratchy for a peacock… Mom said having those statistic thingies is really cool…
June 9, 2012 at 10:21 pm
Hey Jet, my person thinks those statistic thingies are cool too.
June 9, 2012 at 7:14 pm
Woof! Woof! Well I guess that’s great you share your blog with Scratchy. Happy Weekend. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar
FYI: if you noticed I am commenting using my FB. WP.com does not allow us to comment unless it is self hosted … not sure what is going on. Golden Woofs. http://www.sugarthegoldenretriever.com
June 9, 2012 at 8:00 pm
Sugar, thanks for putting your link in your comment and explaining what’s going on. That explains why some of my friends are commenting with accounts other than their blogs. I hope it gets fixed soon.
June 9, 2012 at 7:25 pm
All God’s creatures have their place in the world. This is yours, Bongo. But it is kind to share with others you know.
June 9, 2012 at 8:02 pm
Patricia, I still think Scratchy should get his own blog instead of trying to take over mine.
June 9, 2012 at 8:26 pm
Maybe Scratchy is a bit lazy. Or afraid that his would not reach the level of yours—that would be a problem for a cat.
June 9, 2012 at 10:17 pm
Patricia, there’s no way Scratchy could have as good a blog as mine. That’s why he keeps trying to steal my blog.
Paws To Talk
June 9, 2012 at 8:29 pm
Bongo this is maddening! Although, you do look cute with the squirrel on your back 🙂
Bella and DiDi
June 9, 2012 at 10:18 pm
Squirrel? What squirrel – where?
June 9, 2012 at 8:56 pm
A Bongo cat….I thought there was only ONE Bongo.
The nerve of some people to name their cat Bongo….Thats YOUR Name.
Well, in any case….Your the Number One Bongo…:-)
June 9, 2012 at 10:19 pm
Penny, that cat isn’t even named Bongo. He just keeps trying to steal my blog.
June 10, 2012 at 9:58 am
That Cat Must be Jealous of you!!!
June 10, 2012 at 3:45 pm
Penny, he’s at least jealous of my blog. I have all kinds of friends from my blog and on my trails and Scratchy doesn’t have any friends.
June 9, 2012 at 10:49 pm
In comparison to yourself Bongo, cats are lowly creatures and can never ever hope to obtain the great following that you have from us humans and their animals friends…so to allow ‘ cats’ to invade your blog once in a blue moon..is not really too much..Is it?
And to be honest they are really rather beautiful….not as handsome and regal as yourself of course but they are interesting
June 10, 2012 at 3:37 pm
Patreciau, interesting is a good word to describe cats. But I’m afraid allowing cats on my blog might make my friends stop reading it. I mean, who wants to read about a cat.
June 9, 2012 at 11:55 pm
Bongo…to be honest…I quite enjoy reading about what Scratchy wrote sometimes and seeing his photos on your blog….as I’m a cat lover dog..*blush* Besides those your cousin cats are adorable, aren’t they? Oops!!! 🙂
June 10, 2012 at 3:38 pm
Kevin, I think we might have to give you some remedial training about cats – or maybe I could ship Scratchy over to you in Japan.
June 10, 2012 at 1:15 am
Bongo, as long as you tell the stories, we don’t mind looking pics of Scratchy and other cats, in fact, my Binky’s are really like them and hissing by reading your blog 😀
June 10, 2012 at 3:39 pm
Angels Whisper, I guess I could allow a few pictures of Scratchy on my blog. It really makes me mad when he tries to take it over though.
June 10, 2012 at 2:19 am
Oh, Bongo you better take over soon! By the way, what an amazing shot of you and the squirrel!!!!
June 10, 2012 at 3:40 pm
Marina, what squirrel? I don’t see any squirrel?
June 10, 2012 at 11:48 pm
errr… now that I look again, there isn’t any! What can I say, bad eyesight! Comes with age!
June 10, 2012 at 4:26 am
Why does this reminds me of the cartoon serie cat/dog?
June 10, 2012 at 3:43 pm
Dianda, no! noooo! I would not want to be attached to a cat. Scratchy, don’t even get near me.
June 11, 2012 at 8:18 am
Hahahaha, Bongo! I’d feel sorry for you if you were attached to a cat. 😉
June 11, 2012 at 12:05 pm
Dianda, it would be the most awfullest thing I could imagine.
June 10, 2012 at 5:35 pm
What the heck is going on Bongo?! Is that Scratchy taking over? You’d better get to the bottom of this mystery while the blog is still yours! LOL!
June 10, 2012 at 7:18 pm
Bassetmomma, I’m keeping an eye on Scratchy, but he’s sneaky sometimes.
June 10, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Whoa Bongo – maybe it’s a parallel universe thing? Cat sneakily sticking a paw through a wormhole trying to grab your blog!
June 10, 2012 at 7:20 pm
Karen, that’s really scary. A cat could show up anywhere and then sneak off again before I can catch him.
June 11, 2012 at 6:31 am
Well, you know how cats can get through all those tiny holes…but a worm hole is REALLY tiny…so you are probably safe….unless the cats are passing notes to Scratchy. (But you can handle that one!)
June 11, 2012 at 12:02 pm
Karen, my younger person keeps watching all these shows with big wormholes so I got worried. But if they’re tiny that’s okay. I can intercept all those notes before they get to Scratchy.
June 11, 2012 at 1:32 am
I may have a similar problem soon Bongo, due to the popularity of my kitten, Barnaby. It will only be a matter of time before people search for Bassa Cat 🙂
June 11, 2012 at 11:56 am
Bassa, Barnaby really is getting popular. You’d better be careful.
June 11, 2012 at 2:47 pm
The collies are in a uproar! Kill the squirrel!!! Kill the squirrel!!! Kill the squirrel……. stinking squirrels.. we almost got ours the other day.. it was so close… as for cats… Ginger says dress it up like we do Tigger here… hehehehe
Your friends who want to get the squirrels,
the collies and chuck 🙂
June 11, 2012 at 9:14 pm
Collies, I’m going after that pesky squirrel right now. And then I’m gonna dress up Scratchy. My person must have something around that will fit him.
