I had just finished my walk on my trails and was ready to head into the house for dinner and a nice long nap, when there he was. Right in front of my driveway.
I couldn’t avoid him, and I really wasn’t sure what to make of him. He’s awfully little.
He’s looking at me. What do I do?

I think he wants to touch me now. Maybe if I look the other way he’ll go away.
Oh look, I think I see somebody way over there that I might need to go and give some loves to.
What? What did you say person?
Okay, I’ll be nice and let him touch my head.
Was that good enough?
Hey, wait a minute. That touch felt good.
You might be a little person, but you’re already learning how to give good loves.
And you’re just the right height.

You’re learning, B. the littlest ones are the most delicious! I love to lick them and snuggle with them. They usually have sticky goodness on their fingers and food goodness on their faces and yummy sweaty goodness all over them.

Cupcake, I do like all sizes of people, but I wasn’t sure about one so little. He did taste and smell extra special.

Aww so sweet. I like little kiddies but sometimes they scream and run – that means chase me, right? But when I do they get upset… its very confusing!

Misaki, most of the time when I see little people they are walking on my trails or down my street and their parents won’t let them run. And my person is attached to my leash so I can’t run either.

Bongo, you made a discovery: a new source of loves! One of our Bouviers loved tiny kids – but was pretty big and fierce looking…until he dropped to the ground and belly wiggled up to lick their toes. The kids in strollers with bare feet especially loved that! And he’d let them pet his soft fur with their feet.
