Looking for the Teacup

03 Aug

Teacup Trail SignThere’s a new sign on one of my trails. There was a sign there before, but now  a new and improved sign has appeared.

I think somebody must have seen the sign I put up in my puddle a couple days ago and got jealous. That’s the only thing I can figure.

I wasn’t trying to compete with anyone. I don’t plan to start any sign wars by putting a better sign up in my puddle. But I do have to admit, this new trail sign is rather nice.

I’m kind of befuddled though. I’ve been walking on my trails a long time and I’m still looking for the teacup.

I know where the coffee pot is.

Bongo on Sugarloaf

Coffee Pot Rock - Sedona, AZ

Coffee Pot Rock – Sedona, AZ

But I haven’t been able to find the teacup.

Maybe I’m looking in all the wrong places. Maybe that teacup isn’t big and red like the coffee pot.

What if this is the way to the tea party and I have to bring my own tea cup?

What if that butterfly I chased out of my puddle with my sign was the first guest at the tea party? And I ruined the party.

That’s terrible. I’m going to be known on my trails as a party pooper.

That does it! I’m heading out there right now and taking my sign down.

Keep searching, B. Mom lets me lick the bottom of her teacup all the time, and it’s DELICIOUS! Warm and sweet. Yum. Find that teacup!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Cupcake, now I want to find that teacup even more. I think I’ll get my person’s leash and take her out to the trail right now.

LOL Bongo, look for the white rabbit. He knows where the teacup is, but you are going to have to catch him first because he’s late, he’s late, for a very important date…..Jaz

Jaz, I can run faster than that rabbit. I’ll find him. Maybe I’ll find Alice too – and get loves from her.

Dianda, do you think some of the puddles I’ve been finding have tea in them?

Wait – maybe it’s a sign by a bad speller and is really supposed to be ” Tree cut trail”? That would be even more strange… cut a tree? Do you look out for one and wait for “timber” shouts…or do they want people to cut trees only on this trail
Bongo – I think I’ve been in the sun and heat too long – if you find that teacup, could you hand it to me?

Oh, no Bongo, you’re not a party pooper! You just take your teacup [and your person’s teacup] and go to the party!!!! Wonderful coffee pot by the way!

Marina, I think my person has some teacups stashed away in the cupboard. I’m sure I can convince her to share one with me.

Thanks Kevin. I’ve been meaning to try that coffee, but I never seem to have a big enough mug with me when I walk by the coffee pot.

Misaki, I think you’re right. I’m going to have to find that sign maker and tell him to fix it.

Sedona is so beautiful. You’re lucky Bongo. I went there years ago, just me and my dog Smokey. (As a woman traveling alone, I had no trouble with him around.) It was the best vacation ever. The most interesting part for him was a huge tarantula. I loved how the huge red rocks clashed with the bright green trees and crystal blue water.

Dawn, I really am lucky getting to walk on my trails here all the time. I don’t find tarantulas very often, but it’s pretty cool when I do.

Thanks Bassa. I’m still looking around for teapot rock. My person says she thinks there’s one somewhere around but probably on a different trail.

Bongo, if there’s a coffee pot around, there also must be a tea pot somewhere, so keep searching, and if you’ve found it, I’ll come on over to your tea party 🙂
Btw I have an award for you on my blog, so pick it up if you like.

Well, sweet Bongo we can see how they came to call those rocks Coffee Pot but how are they going to have a trail that resembles a tea cup? Maybe it don’t maybe there is another reason they have that sign there, when you find how what it is we sure hope you let us know. There is no way you ruined a party sweet Bongo you keep your sign up if you want. Hugs and nose kisses

We think your sign is fine Bongo it is your puddle. The new sign is really nice though and the Coffee Pot is beautiful. Maybe they got the new sign up but they haven’t gotten the teacup there yet!?

Lexie and Mica, that could be it. They jumped the gun on the sign. I bet a teacup will be appearing soon.
