Lizard Blog

04 Aug

Lizard on a rockI see lots of lizards on my trails. They like to hang out in the sun. Most of the time when I come near they run off and hide somewhere.

But I found a lizard that isn’t like that. This lizard actually hung around and posed for my person’s camera.

I think there’s something wrong with that. I mean, lizards are supposed to run. They’re little fraidy cats. My person almost never gets pictures of lizards because they run and hide so fast.

This concerns me. Why did this lizard want to have its picture taken?

Maybe – just maybe, this lizard wants to take over my blog.

Can you imagine that? A lizard blog?

What would a lizard write about?

“Oh, it’s a hot sunny day today. I’m going to hang out on this rock and bake. —Oh, it’s freezing cold now. I’m going to hide under the rock and hibernate.”

How exciting is that? Come on little lizard. Just try to take over my blog. Let’s see how many followers you get.

And just in case you really think you can do it, there’s a cloud over there that’s ready to come down and swallow you up.

Ah, Bongo, no one can take over your blog …who’d dare [we couldn’t live without you, anyway!] but I’ve got to admit that poor lizard is quite elegant [not as you of course!]. Also be careful not to engage clouds in monkey business because they just might bring other loud and unpleasant things too [thund…]!

Thanks Marina. Fortunately that lizard finally ran away. But I was hoping if I could get the clouds to come down instead of go up we could have fog instead of thunder. I’m not scared of fog.

Sneaky lizard! He’d better go under his rock and forget about that plan! Bongo is the star of this blog.

    Love and licks,

Elka has never seen a lizard. I wonder what she would think?

Jen, those lizards are tempting to chase, but they disappear so fast that I don’t even bother.

I don’t think that lizard has a chance of taking over your blog Bongo! I love the last photo 🙂

Thanks Misty Shores. I didn’t see any lizards on my last walk, so that lizard must realize he hasn’t got a chance.

He’s a great looking lizard Bongo. I know you won’t let him get your blog, and if he gets his own we won’t read it.

Bosun Dawg, no lizard is getting my blog. I think he would bore everyone to tears.

I am sure a lizard’s life is very exciting Bongo. Tall person kept large iguanas when he was younger and they had lots of adventures 🙂

Bassa, you mean a lizard could have an interesting blog? I guess I’d better go chase that lizard away for good. My person says she saw lots of iguanas when she was in Mexico and they’re much bigger than the lizards around here.

Patreciau, maybe that lizard should be a poet instead of a blogger.

We don’t see lizards a lot in our neighbourhood, but when mom went to Kyoto last week where it’s west of Japan and is much hotter than in Tokyo in Summer , she saw many lizards or geckos( well…in fact she can’t distinguish a Lizard from a Gecko…) who were enjoying sunbathing on the rocks. Then until we read your post today, we didn’t know that a lizard likes sun! No no no!!! They can’t take over your blog! Reading bongo’s blog is one of my favorite things in a day! 🙂

Thanks Kevin. I need all the support I can get to keep this lizard off of my blog. My person says lizards are cold blooded – as opposed to us warm blooded dogs – and the sun helps warm them up so they like hanging out in it. We don’t have geckos here – I don’t know what kind of lizards we have. My person says she saw lots of geckos when she was in Hawaii. They’re one of many kinds of lizards, although my person just checked and found out there are many different kinds of geckos.

If I would make a blog with the leopard Gecko’s we have… I will most likely lose my followers, hahaha.

Dianda, I don’t think anyone would want to follow a lizard blog. Those lizards would spoil it for all of us.

Winnie, that lizard probably wanted to become a celebrity lizard. Not on my blog!

Sweet Bongo maybe that lizard has a great big ego. We don’t think a lizard could have a very interesting blog we never see them doing much but sunning and running like you say. Hugs and nose kisses

      August 5, 2012 at 7:58 pm

Chancy and Mumsy, maybe that lizard just thinks it’s beautiful and wanted to be in the photo so everyone could see it. But if I see it again – I’m chasing it away. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

      August 6, 2012 at 5:53 pm

Thanks Dalton. I would be willing to share your treats. A tasty bone would be good too. I’ve got to keep my energy up so I can chase away those lizards.

I think the lizzard knows that you’re famous dog, Bongo, and wants to know you better… and is taking care for his own interests 🙂

Angels Whisper, you think that lizard is hanging around because I’m famous? Woo woo! I thought just dogs, cats, and people knew I was famous. Now I’m famous in the lizard world too.

We think a Lizard blog would be very boring so you don’t have to worry. We have never seen a Lizard with stripes before wonder if he is a good Lizard or a bad one?!

Sunshine, I don’t know what happened to that lizard. It was a different kind that came and tried to be my pet. I bet that new lizard wanted to take over my blog and eat my food.
