All summer during the thunderstorms I had one sleeping spot. In the hallway, the farthest place in the house from the storms.
But now that the thunder is over I’m changing my sleeping patterns. No more blocking the hallway for me. I’m tired of getting stumbled on and tripped over.
I’m checking out the living room. Where all the action is. That way if something really good happens at my house I won’t miss it.
Or maybe I’ll try out the nice, cool tiles on the kitchen floor. There’s a lot of food action going on there and I’ll be right in the middle of it.
I know one thing for sure though. When I’m sleeping in the hallway my person gets away with all kinds of things, but now I can catch her at everything. She can’t even get her camera out without me knowing about it.
There’s no way my person is going to get a picture of me asleep.

Marina, it’s great having the thunder gone. I’m even back to my old mischievous ways.

My cat, Tommy, has the same fear (for years now). How do you get an animal to stop fearing lightning and thunder? My other cat has no fear!

Anita, my person got me an anxiety vest that helps calm me some but I still get really scared of the thunder. I don’t know what you can do for cats. The cat that I live with – Scratchy – doesn’t seem to mind it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I stopped by and saw the paintings you had posted. Very nice.

Penny, I’m so glad the thunder’s gone. I’m even getting into more mischief now. But I do have to keep an eye on my person to make sure she doesn’t get me back with her own mischief.

Thanks Misaki. I’m really glad it’s gone too. Summer is not my favorite time of year around here.

Cupcake, there’s no way. I always hear that camera and jump up. What? No! I just checked what my person posted for me. I don’t believe it. This is terrible.

Jen, I agree. I like to sleep in all different places in the house so nobody knows what to expect.

Bongo – I’m a kitchen kinda girl myself. You cannot believe how clumsy Diane is and I’m always there to pick up after her. But at night I have to sleep in the hallway until everybody settles down & goes to bed. But really, am I not big enough? Why does Diane still step on me when she gets up in the middle of the night? Maybe I should wear one of those neon glow in the dark vests or something.

Lola, I like the kitchen too whenever there’s food around. I can’t believe you have to sleep in the hallway and still get stepped on though. You might need to get one of those neon glow in the dark vests.

Ginger, that’s a great idea. That would also save on having to wait while my person takes pictures on my trails.

Luckily we don’t get thunderstorms over here or Linus would be in the closet every day. I’m glad you found such a good spot to sleep and keep track of things around the house.
Happy MM,

Colby, can I move in with you? I want to live where there’s no thunderstorms. Well, maybe I’ll stay here for now – but next thunder season…

You look so cute on the last picture Bongo! My favorite place to sleep is in the living room because as you said, it’s where all the action is! Horray that thunders have gone! 🙂

Kevin, I’m so happy that the thunder is gone. And it’s fun being where all the action is.

You would love our hall it blocks everything and you can see all three doors, the steps upstairs and close to the kitchen to smell all the food. We can’t move anywhere without stepping over or being seen by both:(

Angels Whisper, it’s really great having thunder season over. I still hang out in the hallway sometimes, but it’s good to have more choices.
