All summer during the thunderstorms I had one sleeping spot. In the hallway, the farthest place in the house from the storms.
But now that the thunder is over I’m changing my sleeping patterns. No more blocking the hallway for me. I’m tired of getting stumbled on and tripped over.
I’m checking out the living room. Where all the action is. That way if something really good happens at my house I won’t miss it.
Or maybe I’ll try out the nice, cool tiles on the kitchen floor. There’s a lot of food action going on there and I’ll be right in the middle of it.
I know one thing for sure though. When I’m sleeping in the hallway my person gets away with all kinds of things, but now I can catch her at everything. She can’t even get her camera out without me knowing about it.
There’s no way my person is going to get a picture of me asleep.

It’s so good to hear you’re thunderfree, Bongo/ Yeah, nothing can go unnoticed!!!!!!

Marina, it’s great having the thunder gone. I’m even back to my old mischievous ways.

My cat, Tommy, has the same fear (for years now). How do you get an animal to stop fearing lightning and thunder? My other cat has no fear!
September 24, 2012 at 3:28 pm
Anita, my person got me an anxiety vest that helps calm me some but I still get really scared of the thunder. I don’t know what you can do for cats. The cat that I live with – Scratchy – doesn’t seem to mind it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I stopped by and saw the paintings you had posted. Very nice.

No More Thunder…YEAHHHH!!!
Its good that you are keeping an eye on your human….You never know what they do next…BOL

Penny, I’m so glad the thunder’s gone. I’m even getting into more mischief now. But I do have to keep an eye on my person to make sure she doesn’t get me back with her own mischief.

Yay!! So happy for you that the thunder has gone!
September 24, 2012 at 3:30 pm
Thanks Misaki. I’m really glad it’s gone too. Summer is not my favorite time of year around here.
September 24, 2012 at 1:25 pm
Just FYI – they DID get a picture of you asleep. You didn’t know it because…. you were asleep!
Love and licks,

Cupcake, there’s no way. I always hear that camera and jump up. What? No! I just checked what my person posted for me. I don’t believe it. This is terrible.
September 24, 2012 at 1:31 pm
Bongo, it’s good to switch things up once in awhile!
September 24, 2012 at 3:33 pm
Jen, I agree. I like to sleep in all different places in the house so nobody knows what to expect.
September 24, 2012 at 3:20 pm
Bongo – I’m a kitchen kinda girl myself. You cannot believe how clumsy Diane is and I’m always there to pick up after her. But at night I have to sleep in the hallway until everybody settles down & goes to bed. But really, am I not big enough? Why does Diane still step on me when she gets up in the middle of the night? Maybe I should wear one of those neon glow in the dark vests or something.
September 24, 2012 at 3:35 pm
Lola, I like the kitchen too whenever there’s food around. I can’t believe you have to sleep in the hallway and still get stepped on though. You might need to get one of those neon glow in the dark vests.

Ginger says drop the camera in the toilet! Muwahahahah
September 24, 2012 at 4:53 pm
Ginger, that’s a great idea. That would also save on having to wait while my person takes pictures on my trails.

Good job sweet Bongo looks like you have found the perfect place to keep things going YOUR way. Bravo!!! Hugs and nose kisses
September 24, 2012 at 8:57 pm
Thanks Chancy and Mumsy. I’ve got to make sure I’m in control of things around here. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

Luckily we don’t get thunderstorms over here or Linus would be in the closet every day. I’m glad you found such a good spot to sleep and keep track of things around the house.
September 25, 2012 at 11:08 pm
Colby, can I move in with you? I want to live where there’s no thunderstorms. Well, maybe I’ll stay here for now – but next thunder season…
September 25, 2012 at 3:56 am
You look so cute on the last picture Bongo! My favorite place to sleep is in the living room because as you said, it’s where all the action is! Horray that thunders have gone! 🙂
September 25, 2012 at 11:09 pm
Kevin, I’m so happy that the thunder is gone. And it’s fun being where all the action is.

look at that face, look at those eyes, look at the ears, and the nose and don’t forget those gleaming white teeth…no wonder you are always being photographed
September 25, 2012 at 11:09 pm
Thanks Patreciau. Don’t look at me now. I’m blushing.
September 25, 2012 at 12:31 pm
Nothing better than cool tile and a spot in the kitchen….being in plain sight reminds people to stop and give you hugs!
September 25, 2012 at 11:15 pm
Karen, hugs and treats! I’ll take both.
September 25, 2012 at 8:44 pm
You would love our hall it blocks everything and you can see all three doors, the steps upstairs and close to the kitchen to smell all the food. We can’t move anywhere without stepping over or being seen by both:(
September 25, 2012 at 11:18 pm
Lexie and Mica, the next time it thunders I think I’ll be joining you in your hallway.

I’m so glad you get to enjoy the whole house again Bongo 🙂
September 27, 2012 at 6:53 pm
Misty Shores, it’s so nice being able to go wherever I want and not having to worry about the thunder getting me.
October 3, 2012 at 6:13 am
Finally thunder season is over. I’m so happy for you, Bongo! Kitchen floors, I think they’re the best, but the hallway has something too, they can’t forget you when they’re leaving 🙂
October 3, 2012 at 8:19 pm
Angels Whisper, it’s really great having thunder season over. I still hang out in the hallway sometimes, but it’s good to have more choices.
