Moping Vehicle

05 Nov

Bongo next to the 4RunnerWe have a serious problem around here. Our 4Runner has been moping around in the driveway for a long time. The 4Runner that takes me down the bumpy roads to the swimming hole. I miss my swimming hole. I want to go back.

My person says she won’t take her little car down those bumpy roads, so I’ve got to figure out a way to get that 4Runner moving again.

I wonder if it’s depressed. Maybe I can cheer it up.

Hey 4Runner, want to play a game of catch? Or maybe I could give you some treats. Ooh – that would be really hard sharing my treats with anyone – but for swimming I guess I could sacrifice a few.

I don’t believe it! That 4Runner’s not going to go for either of those things. I’ll have to figure out something else.

Maybe I could get one of those pesky squirrels to come down and tickle its belly. That ought to get it going. There’s a problem though. I can’t seem to get those pesky squirrels to come down out of those trees.

Maybe the javelina could give it a push when they’re doing things like pushing over garbage cans. I guess I’ll have to stay up all night so I can catch them when they come. That might be hard.

Hey, wait a minute! I found the problem. No wonder the 4Runner isn’t going anywhere.

Spiders have tied it down.

Spider webs attached to the 4Runner and ground

Does anybody have any silk cutters?

Bad spiders! Bad, bad spiders! I knew silk was strong, but I didn’t realize it was that strong!

FleaByte, I’m going to have to give those spiders what for. They shouldn’t be making webs to tie down my favorite vehicle.

Bongo, I think that the only treat this 4wheel animal loves, is gasoline! Give it some and you’ll see it cutting those silk threads in no time! That and a nice Bongo smile!!!
    🙂

Marina, my person says it needs more than gasoline to break those webs – but it has to wait until my younger person has a break from school before it gets it. I wish my younger person would just tell me what it needs so I can take care of it.

Silly spiders! Halloween was last week. Hold those decorations until later. Or maybe they got blown your way from Sandy and brought their Halloween decorations with them?

Karen, I would say to blow those spiders back, but I guess those people don’t need anything else to worry about. I’ll just have to give the spiders what for myself.

Misaki, I don’t know how they did it, but I sure hope they don’t make any more of them.

Will and Eko, I’m working on giving those spiders what for – but I guess I have to wait for my younger person to have a school break. He must have the right tools to cut all those webs.

Lexie and Mica, thanks for inviting me along on your walk. Since there’s no water on my trails I’ve got to work on freeing that 4Runner up.

Oh, no! Sweet Bongo you gotta figure out a way to cut those silk strings and run those spiders off. Not being able to go to your swimming hole is just no fun. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I’m working on getting hold of some silk cutters and giving those spiders what for. I think my younger person has the silk cutters though and I have to wait for his school break before he’ll use them. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

    Hey Bongo,

I’m glad you found the problem, now you just need to work out how to get rid of them, sorry I don’t have a cutter!

    I hope you’re having a fun day,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

He Snoopy, I’m getting ready to give those spiders what for. My person says I have to wait for my younger person to have a school break to get the vehicle moving again though. I guess he has the cutter.

Send Scratchy out there – I know cat claws can cut through just about anything! Lola

Lola, that’s a great idea. He’ll either get rid of those webs or he’ll get tangled up in them.

Dalton, I don’t know what those spiders are thinking. Maybe they want to go swimming with me.

Bongo, I think that the best treat for the 4Runner is your younger person! She must miss him so much! 🙂
*whisper* Do you swim in winter, too?

    • Bongo

      November 6, 2012 at 12:46 pm

Kevin, sometimes it’s warm enough in the winter to go swimming, it just depends on the day. But if I stand around wet and don’t start moving I do get pretty shivery.

Scratchy doesn’t have any cat friends right now. He might like that.

Maybe you can chew through those nasty spider webs Bongo! I know they are disgusting things that stick to you everywhere, but it will be worth it for the swimming hole!

    • Bongo

      November 6, 2012 at 12:56 pm

Remy, I would definitely have to keep that swimming hole in mind the whole time in order to put up with the nastiness. I guess I could wash all those spider webs off in the swimming hole.

      November 10, 2012 at 12:17 pm

Ginger, I do think Scratchy would be pretty good at mopping up those spider webs with his fur. And then he’d be the one who was tied up.
