A New Mischief Maker

03 Dec

Scratchy and LunchWhile I’ve been the perfect dog lately, Scratchy has been getting into mischief. Just look at him. My person was getting ready to make lunch and after she got all the stuff out she walked away. And what does Scratchy do? He gets right up on the counter and tries to help himself to lunch.

Scratchy and Yogurt

You’d think Scratchy owned the place the way he’s sticking his nose into that yogurt container.

But Scratchy didn’t stop there. No siree!

Scratchy and Frog

After Scratchy helped himself to my person’s lunch he snuck into the bathroom and tried to eat the frog.

But I’m having none of that. I’m going to protect that frog from that mischievous cat Scratchy.

Frog Scratchy Bongo

Get down you evil cat. Leave that poor frog alone!

Scratchy Attacks Bongo

Never mind. Hey frog, you’re on your own this time.

What that frog has to go through. I bet my person’s going to have to clean his container out after that episode.

Aww.. Scratchy lives up to his name. I hope he didn’t hurt you too bad Bongo. Marley sometimes gets a mere flesh wound when he tries to discipline my cats when they’re up to no good. Those cats sure are moody.

Jackie, Scratchy got me good a couple times, but I’m over it now.

Will and Eko, it kind of stung for a minute. But it’s better now.

Hey Jet, just in case Scratchy doesn’t get the naughty speech I chased him under the coffee table and gave him what for. (He got me back though.)

    Uh oh naughty Scratchy!!

Misaki, I love it when Scratchy gets caught red pawed because I’m usually always the one getting the blame.

Woo woo. That’s some pushy cat! Watch your eyes, Bongo!

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 7:59 pm

Karen, I learned about the eye thing when I first came here. Scratchy got me right in the corner of my eye but I haven’t let him do that to me since.

Hey Bongo, it’s snowing on your page! Wow, you are one clever dog! How did you do that?

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 8:03 pm

Hey Delft, here’s how you make snow with a WordPress blog. From your Dashboard go to Settings in that menu on the left of the screen. When you’re on the Settings page scroll down to the bottom of it. There’s a spot where it says “Snow.” And then it says that it will make it snow until January 4th. Click on the check box next to “Snow” and click on the button that says “Save Changes.” You’ll have snow on your blog. My person did this for me last year and the snow just showed up again today.

        Thanks. Done!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow :-).

Ah Bongo, I know what a fistful of claws feels like! Bad enough when you’re doing a good deed, but when you get it while you’re just sleeping, it’s a total injustice.

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 8:04 pm

Yikes! Claws in your sleep? Scratchy doesn’t like to sleep next to anyone so at least I’m safe there.

Oh dear – you certainly tried your best there Bongo but I’d be right with you – one swipe from a mad cat and the frogs on its own 😀

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 8:04 pm

Susan, the frog lucked out that time. My person chased Scratchy away. He doesn’t claw her.

Scratchy is getting tough! Poor little frog…. You tried, B. You did your best.

    Love and licks,

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 8:05 pm

Cupcake, usually my person keeps the bathroom door closed so Scratchy can’t get to the frog. I guess she was falling down on the job.

  10. Bassetmomma

    December 3, 2012 at 2:18 pm

Whoa! that Scratchy needs to be reminded that Santa is watching! He sure had his claws out there Bongo. I hope you ducked! 🙂

    • Bongo

      December 3, 2012 at 8:06 pm

Bassetmomma, Scratchy did get me a little – so I chased him under a coffee table – and then he got me again. Bad Scratchy.

Doggy’s Style, Scratchy is fearless and up to no good. Maybe my person will believe me now when I tell her Scratchy did it.

    • Bongo

      December 4, 2012 at 3:46 pm

Dalton, my person chased Scratchy out of the bathroom where the frog is and then I gave Scratchy what for under the coffee table – I mean, Scratchy got me with his claws. He’s so full of mischief.

        December 5, 2012 at 1:52 am

Echo & Link, Scratchy didn’t get his name for nothing. He just nicked me though so it only hurt for a couple minutes.

    December 4, 2012 at 7:06 am

Oh no! What happened to the poor frog after the scene??? and you, Bongo…you okay? Although I like Scratchy very much, now very worried if he didn’t hurt you Bongo….

    • Bongo

      December 4, 2012 at 3:51 pm

Kevin, I’m fine. Scratchy just nicked me – twice. I tried to give him what for again after my person chased him away from the frog, and he got me a second time. I’m waiting for the right moment to pounce on him. But I did eat his food today when my person left and he had to wait a long time before my person came back home and gave him more.

Has Scratchy been reading the Mischief Book? I don’t remember anything about Scratching poor old Bongo?!

Hope you can duck fast buddy!!

    Big wags,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

    • Bongo

      December 4, 2012 at 5:12 pm

Snoopy, my person must have let Scratchy read that book when I wasn’t looking. And I didn’t duck fast enough. Those claws sting.

    • Bongo

      December 4, 2012 at 5:13 pm

Remy, Scratchy really has some nasty claws too. Mostly I stay away from him – but sometimes I’ve just got to give him what for.

Oh, I love Scratchy. He is fearless and going his own ways. But perhaps he was a bit rude to poor Bongo.

    • Bongo

      December 7, 2012 at 11:24 am

Ulla, Scratchy is always so rude to me. Even when I try to play with him. He’s always getting mad.
