You want me to sniff what so you can take a picture?
A lucky penny on my trail? I don’t even know what a lucky penny is. And it has absolutely no sniffing appeal at all. You sniff it.
What’s it doing on my trails anyway? Especially this one. Hardly anyone walks on this trail? When was the last time you saw somebody while we were walking on this trail?
You know what, person? I bet someone put that penny there on purpose. It’s like people bait.
If somebody put treats down I’d chomp them up, and follow the trail looking for more. If a kid put Reese’s Pieces on the trail there’d be an ET following along for sure.
But if somebody puts a penny on the trail, some person is going to pick it up and probably look for more.
I don’t know what it is with you people. What’s the attraction of those little round metal things? They don’t smell good, they don’t taste good, and they don’t even look good – at least not the dirty old ones you find on trails.
You’d better watch it person. Someone’s going to leave a trail of those things and lead you into a trap.
Yeah, I know I said I’d follow treats. But I wouldn’t mind being led into a treat trap. Who’d want to be in a trap full of little round metal things?
Hey person, never mind what I said. You just keep looking for those lucky pennies. And take lots of pictures of them.
I just found a weed trap.
Let me know when you’re ready to go.

… it’s the human treat, Bongo [pennies]. The treat that allows us to get you treats as well [hence, lucky!]. Oh, forget it, far too complicated and really unimportant! Weeds are much more interesting!

Marina, I’ll go for the weeds – or maybe some other kind of tasty treat. Can’t eat pennies.

Pennies can be lucky, but that one looks like a dud. Find a penny facing up, all the day you’ll have good luck. That penny is not facing up. You were smart to go with the weeds…

Cupcake, my person says she didn’t know the facing up part. I think she’d better leave those pennies alone.

If your person picks up enough pennies I am pretty sure you will get a treat. So don’t knock those copper coins.

Patricia, does that mean I should take my person out looking for pennies?

Benny & Lily, I think if we ever managed to figure our people out we would get rich.

One reason people like finding these pennies, Bongo, is the motto on them: “In God We Trust.” Weeds need to be addressed as well.

Roberta, I guess “In God We Trust” makes those pennies very special. I guess my person better keep picking them up.

You should make an arrangement with Bongo stating that for every penny he finds, you will give him a piece of a snausage. For every dime he finds, you will give him a half of a snausage….

I like that idea. I think I’ll go looking for some pennies and dimes for my person to pick up right now.

I agree with you Bongo, I have no interest in those round metal things…but my mom said if you gather them little by little, they turn into our treats!!!! Sounds nice, doesn’t it? 🙂

Kevin, I’m not sure how those things can turn into our treats, but if it’s true I’m going out and looking for some right now.

It must bring you luck, Bongo, and maybe you can buy yourself a treat of it… unless it’s useless 🙂

Angels Whisper, I guess anything that brings treats must be worth something.
