Who Moved the Dirt?

23 Jan

Bongo in puddle spot with dirt spread outOh dear! Why is my Detective Dog hat always so far away when I need it? And why have there been so many strange happenings on my trails lately?

I was sauntering (did I say that word? Oh yeah, VBP – see below) along my trails, taking my person for a walk and minding my own business. We were coming to the place where my puddle hangs out and I was feeling really disheartened (VBP) because my puddle’s been missing for a long time.

When all of a sudden, I stopped in my tracks. My puddle is surrounded by bare rocks, but it usually leaves some dirt behind when it disappears. But now the dirt was trying to escape too. Or maybe it was the rock trying to cover itself up.

Whatever was happening, it was really strange. I’d better get to investigating and see what I can find.

Bongo sniffing for clues

Hmmm. I don’t think the dirt or the rocks were responsible. What is it I smell?

Bongo sniffing the dirt

Does this smell like boys maybe?

Well, that’s not fair. If boys were digging here why didn’t they invite me? I like to dig.

I’d better go find them.

Yup, this is it. I’m picking up some more clues.

Come on person, we’ve got to get going.

Bongo at the edge of the dirt spread

I think they went this way.

I’ve got to make those boys put all the dirt back in the puddle hole so I can dig it out with them.

I’ve got to learn what VBP means! Verbal Brainy Pet?!!!
Next time you will know not to forget that hat, won’t you?!!!
So much work, so little time! Bongo, I think you may need a secretary!
    😆

Marina, I like that meaning. It’s really supposed to mean Vocabulary Building Project. It’s something that my friend Jet and a couple of cats started. Jet is always encouraging me to use big words. And you’re right. I may need my person to carry all my supplies – like my hat – wherever we go.

Those boys didn’t know what a great digger you are, B. otherwise, they would’ve waited for you. I bet they smelled yummy. Boys are delicious!

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, I agree. Boys are delicious. But I sure hope they wait for me next time so I can help them dig.

Benny & Lily, it seems like somebody’s always messing with things on my trails. I guess it’s a good thing that I’m Detective Dog. I can get down to the bottom of it.

I think the two guys in the fourth pic here http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/2013/01/20/easyblog-silent-sunday-2/ have a dirty paw in this affair.

Kolytyi I bet you’re right. I bet Mr. Dirtman was rolling around in my missing puddle’s dirt and spread it all over.

Your trails are very popular and have many mysteries, too!!! If you find the boys and would dig together, I’d love to join you!!! I love digging, too! So fun! 🙂

Bongo that is a lot of dirt missing, they must have been digging a lot. I hope they don’t come back and dig out any more dirt 😦

Lexie and Mica, there’s not much dirt left to dig out. I think they should come back and put all the dirt back in.
