Souvenirs of Battle

27 Jun

Bongo sniffing in the washThere was a battle here last night.

I can smell it.

Right here in the wash on my trails.

I wonder who won.

I can imagine what happened.

Wild boys shooting each other.

“Pow! You’re hit.”

“No, I got you.”

“It bounced off me and didn’t leave a mark.”

“I’ll get you this time.”

“Ouch! That one stung.”

There’s something I can’t figure out though.

I guess those boys must be really rich.

They use pearls for weapons.

I found one here a couple days ago.

Today there were bunches.

Airsoft pellet in a crevice

I found them in cracks.

Airsoft pellet among leaves

And stuck among old leaves.

They were everywhere.

Either those boys are so rich they don’t care about their pearls, or they couldn’t find them all in the hidey hole places they went.

I don’t know who won the battle, but I do know one thing.

Bongo with airsoft pellets

I got the pearls so I’m the true winner.

Anyone want to trade a pearl for some treats?

You’re on a streak of fortune, Bongo… coins, pearls and now more pearls!
Share them with your good friends and the ones who are poor. You can’t imagine how many more loves you’ll get back!
    🙂

Little Binky, maybe I could plant these pearls and start a pearl farm.

Whew, you had me worried there – I thought you got into a fight with another dog. Should have known that wouldn’t happen to you.

Lola, I’ve had a few tiffs with other dogs but for some reason my person won’t let me post about it. She says it will spoil my reputation.

Someone is bound to take you up on that offer..perhaps a paw-made sign?

Great idea Karen. I could hang out on my trails with my sign – or better yet, in front of the pet food store.

Your trails are full of adventure, B. I mean, a war with pearls? THAT must’ve been something to see. It’s a good thing you didn’t walk into the middle of it!

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, come to think of it I think I’ve been in the middle of some of my younger person’s pearl wars. But that was a long time ago when he was younger than he is now.

Maybe you could trade the pearls back to the wild boys in exchange for treats and loves.

Those pearls look green sweet Bongo we have never seen green pearls before. They must be rare and precious. Hold out for lots of treats since those pearls have to be very valuable. Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, I think I might be able to get enough treats for life – with some left over for my friends.

Yes you are the true winner Bongo! Those pearls look pretty beautiful in a way! Of course you look much cuter than those pearls on the picture, Bongo! 🙂

You totally won the battle, Bongo, and you weren’t even there for the fighting! Now maybe your person will like some nice earrings from those pearls?

Remy, that’s a great idea. I’ll sell my person some pearl earrings for extra treats.

Ginger, around here it seems that some of the little humans grow up, but new ones come to take their place. My younger person used to leave lots of those little pearls around. Sometimes I still find old ones in my yard.
