Today was the hottest day of the year, so what did my person want to do?
She wanted to go outside and experiment with her new camera.
I don’t know why she couldn’t have waited until maybe October. When the weather’s nice.
So we had to spend extra time out in the heat today while my person fiddled with her camera and figured out how to change the settings.
And she still has her old camera. She could have taken that instead.
It’s really stupid why my person has a new camera.
She was taking me for a walk on my trails and taking pictures (she’s always doing that) and my younger person called so she was trying to take pictures and talk on the phone and she dropped her camera.
I was really excited when my person said her camera wouldn’t work – but what did she do? She ordered another one right away. She said she felt naked without her camera and this new one did more.
Well my younger person got her camera working again so now my person has two cameras. And she had to experiment with the new camera on the hottest day of the year.
Here I am panting away and my person’s taking pictures of…
Juniper berries, and…
red rocks, and…
dead flowers.
But I’ve decided I really don’t like this camera after she took this picture of me.
I hope that camera has a setting for suave and debonair.

Maybe your person’s camera doesn’t have a setting for suave and debonair, but it certainly does the job of showing you in all your glorious charm, Bongo. This picture is going on my list of favorites!
Stay cool!

OMGoodness, B! Your person was definitely not using the suave and debonair setting for that picture! I think it was the cute and adorable setting….

We thought that camera did a very good job showing how hot you were while waiting on your person to try out the camera settings. We will be looking forward to seeing terrific pictures of you now that she has that new camera set. Hugs and nose kisses sweet Bongo

Thanks BZ, and thank God for air conditioning. I’ll have to take my person on a red rock photo shoot with her new camera when it cools down a bit.

The photo has the highest cute-factor, Bongo, don’t do anything about it. We’ve heard it on the news yesterday that there was a enormous heat wave, with temperatures that Granny and I don’t want to experience…. stay cool boy 😉
Bongo
June 30, 2013 at 1:39 pm
Thanks Little Binky. We’re for sure having a heat wave here. My younger person came home for the weekend though and says it’s cool here. I think it got to about 117 degrees Fahrenheit where he lives. It’s only almost that hot here. Thanks goodness for air conditioning. Yesterday we waited until after 7:00 PM for my walk and it was still hot.

I really love that picture of you Bongo! Hoomins have such a “thing” about cameras and pictures don’t they? At least I usually get paid off in cookies…hope you do too
Bongo
June 30, 2013 at 1:44 pm
Thanks Gizmo. If my person takes pictures of me in the house I get cookies, but she doesn’t bring them along on the trail. I think I need to retrain her.

Oh we’ve had some hot ones here to Bongo although probably not as hot as yours. I’ve been hanging out in the basement where it’s nice & cool but I do hate to miss out on a car ride or a walk…Lola

Lola, we’re experiencing a record heat wave here. I wish we had a basement. Hardly anyone does here because the ground is too rocky to dig into. But at least I’m still getting my walks. We just wait until it’s almost dark most days and the shadows are long.

Thanks Ginger. As long as you think I’m suave and debonair I’m happy. But I really do need to get my person to take some pictures of Scratchy with that setting.
