Rain Changes

10 Sep

Bongo on the trail - cloud covered rocks in the distanceIt rained and rained today.

I thought I was going to have to take my person for a rain walk.

But finally things cleared up – or at least the rain stopped falling.

So off we went.

But something had happened on my trails.

The clouds had stolen some of my rocks.

.

.

Clouds over Thunder Mountain

Yikes! There goes another one.

I’d better go chase those clouds away before they steal all my rocks.

Cloud covered rocks

I had to give up on those clouds because I couldn’t convince my person to follow me – and she wouldn’t let go of my leash.

Sometimes it’s a real burden taking a person for a walk.

Some of my rocks had disappeared – but then I found some new things on my trails that hadn’t been there before.

Small purple flowers

These flowers weren’t here before.

Bongo looking at water in the wash

Neither was this swimming hole.

Yipee! I love swimming.

Hey, wait a minute. This hole’s not deep enough.

Maybe I can dig it deeper.

Bongo digging in a small pool of water

Maybe not.

Guess I’ll head back home.

Hey person, I think we might be lost.

Bongo in a wash containing a small stream of water

I’ve been looking all over the place and I can’t find the dry wash that we always walk through.

I love walking in the rain..but you do need to wear proper rain clothes..maybe your fur coat is not quite suitable but then you do not have a choice..do you have a rainvoat…maybe the sun will soon shine again and then all the pools will disappear again

Patrecia, rain doesn’t bother me and I don’t mind getting wet – as long as the thunder doesn’t try to hang out with the rain. But it might be nice to have sunshine and pools at the same time. Sometimes that happens, but it never lasts for long.

Bongo, your person makes great shots with her new camera, looks very spooky up there. Just wait till it’s dry again, Bongo, I’m sure your wash will be back as if by magic 😉

Little Binky, my person says thanks. She didn’t use her new big camera though – just her sort of new little camera. For some reason she won’t take her big camera and me at the same time.

Someone’s messing with your territory! Woo!

Ku, at least whoever it was left me some puddles to play in.

You are one lucky dog – new swimming spot!
We avoid puddles hear because of the swarms of mosquitoes right now – even Molly’s pool is put up ( and she’s not happy about that).
But we did have an amazing double rainbow this morning…Molly says it started at her house and ended at her doggy playground. Smart rainbow.

Karen, that sounds like the best rainbow ever. Maybe you could get the mosquitoes to follow it.

I’m happy those clouds didn’t have thunder inside them, B. what a confusing mystery about the missing dry wash… Hmmmm…

Cupcake, you never know around here. The clouds a few minutes ago did have thunder inside them. And it’s raining bunches. I don’t think I’ll go look for my dry wash for awhile. Good thing I took my person for a walk this morning.

Those clouds keep changing your territory, you’ve got to admit it’s interesting though, and wetting those paws must have felt good! 🙂
    Bongo’s person: great shots! 🙂

Marina, my person says thanks. It did feel good to get my paws wet. I’m a water fanatic.

Patricia, my walk was really fun. Especially the puddle parts.

Benny & Lily, that blue sky seems to be really shy the last few days. This morning when I first went out it was nice and blue and a few minutes later it was all gray and has stayed that way pretty much all day.

Kevin, not always, but sometimes the clouds do that after the rain. This week they’ve been doing it all week which is really unusual for here.

What a beautiuful place you live in. Perhaps you can put scratchy out and the clouds will come for him?

Collies, I hope those clouds are quick, because Scratchy always runs right back in the house. Maybe Tigger can join him out in the clouds though.
