This is Monday Mischief. The day us dogs are supposed to report all the mischief that happened over the weekend.
And I have a lot to report.
I’ve got so much to report that I think it’s going to take me two blog posts to get it all in.
It wasn’t my mischief though.
No, I was the perfect dog all weekend long.
But my people – I think they were up to no good.
First, my person got this new pet.
She didn’t ask me about getting a new pet.
Even Scratchy didn’t know about it and I don’t think he wanted anything to do with that new pet either.
And that pet started taking over the house.
First it was in the living room.
Then it was in the bedroom. I know my person thinks it’s her bedroom, but my bed is in there too so it’s really my bedroom.
And that new pet is not allowed in my bedroom.
I mean, what if it tries to sleep in my bed.
Well, I must have convinced my person’s new pet that the bedroom is not where it is supposed to be because next thing I know that pet is back out in the living room.
It’s probably thinking about taking over the bathroom – or the kitchen.
I hope it doesn’t try to eat my food.
I guess my person wasn’t thinking though when she got that new pet.
Or maybe Scratchy and I convinced her that no more pets should be allowed in the house.
Because finally my person got out a jar, convinced the new pet to jump into it, and then she took that jar away with the pet inside.
I hope my person has learned her lesson and no more new pets will be allowed into the house.

I’m glad your person saw what was sensible to do in the end!
Another pet?! Imagine having to share the bed with miss Spidermina!
No good!

Marina, I think it might get a little ticklish having that spider crawling on you when you’re trying to sleep.

That pet is NOT fun. Any time I see one of them, I pop up and down like popcorn. Mom says, “You’re a big help.” You’re welcome, Mom.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, we’ve got to do something to alert our people to intruders. Does your mom ever give you any popcorn when you jump like that? That would be a real treat and much better than having spiders in the house.

Ahhh! Close call, keep that pet outside!

Will and Eko, that’s what I say. Some pets are just meant to be outdoor pets.

*screeeeaaaaam* I got arachnophobia = I’m scared of pets like that. But I got a very brave cat that sometimes plays with those pets. Else I have to use the glass confinement device. Just like your person.

Stanze, my person says that once she lived in a house that had spiders that came up the bathtub drain. She had a cat that would eat them so every time one showed up she got her cat to take care of it. Now if I could only get Scratchy to do that.

Brown Dawgs, I’m with you on that one. It certainly wasn’t an indoor kind of pet.

Oh no! I don’t think that I like that new pet either, Bongo….the other day, we also found almost the same pet as yours, ours was much fatter with shorter legs though….that new pet seemed to decide buildning his own house with thin thread which was really scary….Mom asked our grandpa to take him away from our house, so he finally left there. Phew….*wipingsweat*

Kevin, some pets just think they can push their way into a house that’s already occupied by enough pets. At least they didn’t get to stay in either of our houses.

I have one of those pets in my bathroom, just at the edge of the .shower..she has been there for ages, does no harm and does not get in the way. Maybe she might get water splashed now and then but she does not seem to mind!! She also has many relatives in my house… I call them squatters as they do not pay rent or help with housework..they just make cobwebs in my corners. Every now and then I turf them all out but they soon come back….
So yes you are right NO more pets in your house!!! and no more in mine xxxxxxx

Patrecia, some of those pets just make more work because they make webs that have to be cleaned up. They should be more like me. I clean up everybody else’s spills. That’s my job.

Benny & Lily, it seems like four feet should be enough, doesn’t it?

EEEEEK!!!! Bongo I have no idea why your person took that outside the house – it would have been a big squish here. It could come right back inside when you’re not watching.

Diane, my person probably figured it would make too much of a mess if it got squished.

Thanks Shuolessya. Maybe if I run out of new adventures I can go find that spider and write about its adventures.

Bongo, don’t worry the pet takes over your place, they just want to play..at least that’s what I do, when I see them 🙂

Little Binky, I think cats are better at playing with those pets than I am. Except Scratchy never pays any attention to them.

Snoopy, it’s amazing how much mischief my people can get into. And they’re always accusing me of mischief.
