Distant Neighbors

14 Dec

Dogs in the distance leaving the trailThere they go again.

It’s them!

My neighbors that I don’t even know.

You’d think I wasn’t very neighborly or something, but it’s not true.

I’d be all over those neighbors if my person would let me.

My person and their person. Neither of them are cooperative.

Huskies walking down the street

Oh, how I long to sniff those butts.

Come on, person. They’re not that far ahead of us. We could walk faster and catch up easily.

What do you mean, we’re not going to walk faster? We’re just going to hang back?

What kind of a neighborly neighbor are you?

Come on. Let’s go!

We would not get into a tousle!

You know I’m the perfect dog. I’m sure they’re perfect too.

Three huskies down the street. One of them sniffing something

Look, that one dog is stopping to take a sniff.

I bet he would rather be sniffing me.

I bet he’s waiting for me to catch up.

What do you mean, we already finished our trail walk?

What about my streets? We hardly ever get to walk on my streets.

I sure wish I didn’t have to keep such a close watch on you person.

If I thought I could trust you I’d let you off the leash and go after those dogs myself.

But you might wander in front of a car and get hit.

Guess I’ll have to wait to sniff meet those dogs.

Oh, the things a dog has to go through for his people.

New friends! Gah! You’re missing out! What does your person expect you to do – wait in dog jail till they come to you??? They don’t look like they’re being too neighborly either….

    Love and licks,

Cupcake, I think it’s the person of those dogs who isn’t neighborly. And he uses the excuse that his dogs aren’t friendly. I’m sure we could all get into a friendly tousle.

Ku, I would love to go wrestle with those snow dogs. Now I’ve just got to convince my person and their person.

Awww Bongo… the things we have to teach our humans… Maybe you can leave some peemail for those huskies for next time they walk by. ~Cooper

Cooper, we share peemail all the time. I just think it would be a little more neighborly to get up close and personal (dogonal?) with them.

I like Huskies..they have beautiful blue eyes, sometimes one eye is white snd one blue. If you ever get to meet these lovelies you must tell me about ther eyes…but I bet they don, t have a detective hat

Patrecia, I never get to be close enough to see their eyes, but I know they don’t have detective hats. I would see that for sure.

The things that you have to go through for your person, indeed, my dear Bongo! But then, can you imagine what would happen if she wandered off?! Ah, Bongo, you are truly a superior dog! Fish? 🙂

Marina! I’ll take fish from you anytime! But yeah, sometimes I really have to sacrifice in order to make sure my person is safe.

Persons just never cooperate do they sweet Bongo, you may just have to leave your person in the dog jail and go on and meet those neighbors…you think that would work? Hugs and nose kisses

Chancy and Mumsy, that would be a great idea. If my person is locked in the dog jail she can’t stop me – and she won’t be able to run out in the street and get hurt.

Thanks Fredrieka. Compared to most places right now it is warm. At least when the wind doesn’t kick up.

Wow!!! Three new friends!!! Hmmm….what your person is thinking?…It would be a good occasion to have new paw friends!!! Humans are sometimes tough to train, aren’t they?

Kevin, I think I’d have so much fun with those new friends – but it’s not only my person I’d have to train. It’s their person too. People sure can be a challenge.

Keep an eye on your person, Bongo. Those fluffy ones might knock her down and demand a huge ransom of hugs. Good you are there to monitor the situation! And besides those hugs need to go to you first!

Karen, I think you’re right. If I make friends with those neighbor dogs they might try to take over all her attention. I guess my person knows best for once. I want her all to myself.

Bongo, you surely lead a difficult and boring life. Those silly humans!

People are such a challenge sometimes. But at least she lets me visit Toby, my dog friend across the street.

Dalton, thanks for recognizing how good I am. My person never seems to see it that way.

Huh, are they snobs or what? They didn’t even turn to look at you & you know they knew you were right there! That was probably your scent that dog was sniffing!

Lola, I see those dogs around a lot. I don’t know what it is about them that we never get to play.
