Hanging Out

17 Jun

Bongo in the yardIt seems like every time I take my person for walks she gets her camera out.

She’s always making me wait while she takes pictures of flowers and stuff.

It’s frustrating.

I’ve got places to go and things to sniff – and all my person wants to do is stay in one spot and take pictures.

But when it comes to my yard, I’m not allowed to hang out there.

I get to go do my business and then I have to come right back in.

I don’t know what my person’s problem is.

Just because I jumped the fence once or twice.

I only do it when I’m bored.

***

But I finally figured it out.

You see, a thistle popped up in my yard and there aren’t any thistles on my trails.

So when my person was out pulling weeds I hid it from her.

And it worked.

Because that thistle bloomed and just like I knew she would…

My person headed out with her camera.

Thistle with purple blossoms

Top of thistle with purple blossoms

Thistle with purple blossoms and a bucket in the background

And I got to hang out in the yard.

Fredrieka, sometimes when my person pulls weeds I get really bored and jump the fence. Now she makes me stay in the house when she does that.

Fredrieka, every time I try that I get yelled at. Maybe my younger person will let me sniff his.

Clever boy, Bongo!!!! A win win situation! A beautiful photo of a star [you] and beautiful photos of this lovely thistle!
ps Surely that thistle is also very thankful, so I guess it’s a 3 in 1!!! 😉

Marina, I think that thistle is thankful that it wasn’t pulled. I don’t know what’s going to happen now. There’s been no rain so it is probably stuck in the ground forever.

Lily & Edward, you must be right. Something about Blogville and cameras.

Ha! Mission accomplished, B. And good work not jumping the fence. Safety first…

Cupcake, if my person had taken pictures much longer I might have jumped the fence. Most of the time there’s nothing much happening in my backyard. Unless a cat or rabbit sneaks in.

Dalton, I think I need to bring my younger person some treats. Then I’ll get to sit next to him every time.

Kevin, most people consider those thistles weeds. They just don’t know what they’re missing.

Chancy and Mumsy, my person says she’s waiting for a good rain to help her get the weeds out of the ground. And it hasn’t rained here in weeks. At least the weeds aren’t growing much since there isn’t any rain.

If he could Chancy would come get those weeds up. He helps me a lot and loves pulling weeds. He gets them out roots and all…maybe you can help your person with those weeds sweet Bongo.

Maybe Chancy could come for a visit and we could run around my yard and pull weeds.
