Hey person, we can’t go on a walk.
Look at that. There’s rain on its way.
It’s going to engulf us any minute now.
And you know what the rain brings with it.
.
.
.
Thunder!!!
Maybe these trees will protect me from the rain.
Look, I can hardly see it now.
But I still think we need to go back.
I’m not sure if these trees are trustworthy.
And now the clouds are closing in from the other direction too.
Okay, that’s it person.
I’m not going anywhere.
What, you don’t believe me?
You don’t think I’m serious?
Well check this out.
I’m so serious…
…that I’d rather back into this cactus –
than go anywhere near that thunder.
Just try to get me to move.

Woo woo! A frogging pond. That sounds like so much fun Fredrieka. I think our rainy season is almost over though. At least that’s what my person keeps telling me. Last year I did have a toadie puddle though. This year it kept drying up before the tadpoles got a chance to hatch.

Good try, digging in to hold your ground, but under the circumstances, I think it’s best to follow your person and get inside.
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I guess it was better when I finally got back inside. I tried so hard to back into that cactus that my collar came off while my person tried to stop me. At least that made me stop backing.

GAH! Head out of the collar is BAD! Mom loses her mind when that happens. I’m glad you’re OK.

Cupcake, I’m afraid to lose my person when there’s thunder – so I stay right where I am when my collar comes off and let her put it back on.

You have your thunder jacket on, that will protect you from thunder but not prickles on your rear end if you back into bush..ouch!

Patrecia, I guess I’ll have to come up with a prickler protector.

I know, I know Bongo and I also know how pointless it would be trying to move you! Your friend here ‘stands her ground’ too! Tonight there was a celebration somewhere near, including fireworks, so you were both in similar situations!

Poor Loretta. I’ve only had to hear fireworks once because they usually don’t shoot them off close to my house. But it was once to much.

I hope your person recovered her senses and returned home with you Bongo! Those were some beautiful pictures she took though!

Marty, my person says thanks. We weren’t far from the house so I convinced my person to go back home with me.

Thanks so much Kevin. That’s better now. We’re not supposed to have any thunder for the next few days at least.
