Big Mistake

04 Oct

Bongo on the trailBoy did I make a big mistake today.

A really big one.

Here’s what happened.

I took my person for a walk and we got to the place where we usually turn around and head back.

It was a really nice day and I wasn’t ready to head back yet.

So I kept on going.

Up the dry wash.

Usually my person won’t let me go further, but today she did.

And that was the biggest mistake of all.

***

Because you know what my person did then?

Prickly pear cactus surrounded by little yellow flowers

She found flowers.

Red Penstemon

And not just a few flowers.

Purple daisy

She found red ones, and purple ones, and yellow ones.

Bongo sniffing something behind the flowers

Can we go now, person?

This is getting really boring.

Yellow flower

Bongodog, flowers made your person happy. I am so glad you were patient with her.

Andrea, I try to be patient but sometimes it’s very hard. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Were you let off your leash to wander on your own? Well it must have been worth it and the price wasa few pretty flowers….a good bargain I think

Patrecia, my person never lets me off my leash. She says I might run off. I don’t know why she thinks that.

Cupcake, I always forget that my person will look for any excuse to get out her camera.

Kevin, we seem to get two springs here. We get flowers in the spring and then they go away in the summer when it’s really hot. Then in the fall we get more flowers.

Hawk, I only smell the flowers when one of my dog friends has left a message on it for me.

Bongo how nice of you to discover all those beautiful flowers for your Mom. Hope she gave you extra treats for that!

Marty, come to think of it I didn’t get any extra treats. I think I’ll go demand them now.

Animalcouriers, my person says thanks. I think I’ve got to find a new place to walk though. One without any flowers.
