I can’t believe it. I’ve been so good because I know Santa is coming soon, but everyone else around here seems to be getting into mischief.
This time it’s a peanut butter jar.
I don’t know what got into that peanut butter jar – well, besides peanut butter that is.
My person left the house and I innocently checked the sink to see if there were any dishes that needed to be cleaned out. I thought I’d help my person out by washing some dishes for her.
I found this peanut butter jar in the sink and it really needed cleaning out. There was still a layer of peanut butter all over the inside of the jar. It was kind of hard standing over the sink to clean it so I took it out and into the next room where there’s a soft carpet and I could really work on cleaning that thing.
I was doing a great job with the cleanup when that jar started pulling its mischief.
You see, that jar kept some of the peanut butter where I couldn’t reach it. I tried everything – chewing on the jar, squashing it, stretching my tongue out really long – but nothing I could do would convince that jar to give up its peanut butter.
My person got mad at me when she came home, but it wasn’t my fault I didn’t get the jar all clean. If that mischievous jar hadn’t kept that peanut butter in a spot where I couldn’t get it, I would have been able to do a really great job.
But somehow I’m always the one that gets blamed.
