Lazy Litterbugs

06 Apr

Bongo looking cool with his Detective Dog hat onIt’s been a long time since I’ve put on my Detective Dog hat, but it’s time to do it.

You see, there have been some litter bugs on my trails lately and they’re dropping strange things.

Most of the time these strange things are only a few yards from the trailhead where the garbage can is. Which means that there is a serious problem with lazy litterbugs on my trails.

And another thing is that these pieces of litter are really small. They could easily fit into someone’s pocket. I bet several of them could fit into someone’s pocket.

But I guess I understand why no one wants to put them in their pocket when they’re through with them.

They stink really bad. So bad that I won’t go near them with my nose. Which makes it really hard to do an investigation.

How can I investigate if I can’t sniff around?

So why would anybody want these stinky things in the first place?

Anything that’s too stinky to stick in your pocket is definitely too stinky to carry around with you. People should leave them at home, or the store, or wherever it is that they got them.

That would solve two problems. No litter and no stink.

But maybe that’s not such a good idea after all. Because if those things weren’t here then I wouldn’t have anything to investigate.

And that would put Detective Dog out of a job.

Yucky. Oh, Detective Dog, don’t people realize these are nasty and foolish dogs like Molly try to grab them. We keep trying to tell her: “you don’t have pockets to carry things. Your mouth is not a pocket.”
Keep up the good work pointing these things out, Bongo!

Molly, if you’re going to carry something at least make sure it’s something good – like a ball.

Molly, I picked up an extremely large branch once, but I was hoping someone would toss it for me. I bet you have a really cool treasure trove stashed away somewhere.

Gizmo, I think us dogs need to have some training for people on how to be good.

Dogs are way too smart to have anything to do with those nasty things.

Humans are not only silly and selfish but they have very weak senses, too. I think a good solution would be to give humans the sense of smell of a dog for a while.

Kolytyi, I bet no people would want to be around those stinky things if they could smell as well as me. But my person says that even most people think they stink pretty bad.

Oh no!!! What a bad manner those litter bugs have! *grrrrr* That stinky thing is terrible and dangerous!!! You have to get and teach them the basic manner they should have while they walk on your trails, Bongo!

Kevin, if I ever find those lazy litterbugs I’m going to give them what for for sure.

Misty Shores, they are pretty awful. I’ve got to figure out how to keep them off my trails.

You are right Bongo, those stinky things shouldn’t be anywhere but the trash. You need to leave them alone. If we were walking I would tell the girls “No don’t touch that it will make you sick!!”

Lexie and Mica, you wouldn’t even want to go near those things. You can smell that bad smell from a long ways away.
