The Rattle that Calls

23 Sep

Bongo's VitaminOnce I’ve gotten my person out of bed in the morning and she’s let me outside and fed me I usually find somewhere cozy to lie down. That is, until I hear certain sounds. First, it’s the sound of a cupboard door opening, and then I hear a rattling sound. I know that it’s time for me to get up and head to the kitchen. My person gets little pills out of bottles. She says they’re vitamins.

I bet you’re wondering why I care enough to go into the kitchen when my person takes her vitamins. After all, what’s in it for me? Well, guess what? When my person finishes taking her vitamins she pulls out a special vitamin just for me. It’s bigger than hers and it smells much better. My person says my vitamins stink, but I don’t think so. I think they smell heavenly and they taste like bacon. I wonder how I could make my person forget that she’s taken her vitamins so she’ll do it all over again.

They’re really a special treat Rumpy. You ought to talk your people into getting you some.

I always give Mr. Sammo good tasting stuff to ensure he takes it. As Mary Poppins sings: “A spoonful of sugar…”

Sandra, I’m glad Mr. Sammo gets good tasting stuff. I think everything’s good tasting – except olives.

I think the rattling you hear in the morning is the sound of pills in your tummy Bongo! 🙂

Bassa, you might be right – but they’re so good I always want more.
