Something really strange happened today. The big rocks near my house got shorter.
I had a really fun time on my walk. There were lots of puddles and mud. My person doesn’t like the mud. She says she sinks into it and it sticks to her boots – so she tried to walk on the dry spots, but sometimes there weren’t any. Me, I like the mud. It’s soft and squishy and feels good to walk on.
I got a surprise when we went further along on the trail. My puddle that has been around for awhile had turned into a lake. It had lots of good smells in it too.
By the time we came back from our walk the big rocks had gotten back to normal size. I’m not really sure what was happening with those rocks.

That looks like a fabulous place to walk. Mud and a little lake sounds just about perfect to us. 🙂

Brown Dawgs, sometimes I have trouble getting my person outside when it’s muddy – but it sure is fun when she does.

What a great walk you had! I went on a rainy walk. I love how much more everything smells when it’s wet. My person says that I smell extra-doggy when I’m wet, too.

Lola, wet smells are good – even if it’s us dogs with the wet smells.

It is beautiful there. What state are you in, or I guess I should first ask are you in the States?

Kibble, I’m in Arizona – in Sedona. It really is beautiful here.

Hey, sweet Bongo…that looks like a great place to walk and your river looks like so much fun. Did the mud squish between your toes…mud is lots of fun. Sure glad your rocks got big again…that fog was thick. Hugs and nose kisses

Mumsy, the mud feels really good between my toes. This morning the rocks completely disappeared, but they’re back again now. Hugs and nose kisses back to you.

Hi Bongo,
So nice to meet you – I found you through the Blog Hop! 🙂
Isn’t it cool that you get to leave your paw prints behind in the mud! Did you get to leave your muddy paw prints in the car and house too?! Tee Hee
Glad you’re having fun,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Snoopy, nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by. It’s really fun leaving my paw prints in the mud, and it would be almost as much fun to leave them in the car – but the trails are so close to our house that we just walk to them and the mud comes off my feet on the way back home.

Oh Bongo, looks like you had a fun hike! Your puddle looks nice and muddy. Love the foggy pictures!

Deannamelanie, we had great fun on our hike. When my person sees fog like that she likes to grab her camera. She has to walk a little way from our house to get a good shot and I get really upset because I think she’s going for a walk without me.

Thanks Wonderbutt’s person. I enjoy the mud, but I bet Wonderbutt would have so much fun he’d change color.

Thanks Winsomebella. Rosie and I could have a good romp in the mud together, but I guess you and my person would have a lot of cleanup to do afterwards.

Mud is good, mud is good, mud is good…….:) You are so lucky to live in such beautiful (and muddy) surroundings!

Bassa, most of the time we have lots of dry dirt here, until it rains a lot. It’s really good when we have snow that melts. Then it gets nice and gooey.

I just noticed it today. The view from your backyard is beautiful. You’ll show me around if I visit, right Bongo? I don’t mind getting muddy.
Bongo
November 15, 2011 at 7:46 pm
Nel, of course I would show you around. I love to have visitors – and most of the time my trails aren’t muddy. Only when it rains lots or when we get snow and it starts melting.

B0ng0, I do live in a pretty good place but so do you. You have those great fields to dig in. Too bad we can’t visit each other and go romp around together.

Hi Bongo! Sophie here–mud is fun for me too! A couple of times when I was walking my person and it was muddy and wet I pulled on the leash too hard and her feet were going really fast around and around like you see on the cartoons. Trust me you do not want you person to do that. The rest of the walk I had to walk right beside her. I mean right beside her. Also, my person went to college at NAU and used to have a lot of fun in Sedona–especially at Slide Rock.
Bongo
November 18, 2011 at 3:16 pm
Sophie, it was a good thing your person didn’t fall over in the mud. I’ve pulled my person over when I’ve tried to chase after something, but I haven’t made her slip in the mud – yet. That’s cool that your person went to NAU. My person was just in Flagstaff a couple days ago. She says that Slide Rock is fun but she hasn’t been there since I’ve been with her since we have trails so near our house.
