My person is messy in the kitchen and this time of year she really makes a mess. Little bits of things sprinkling down to the floor. She’s making cookies. She always does that this time of year, but it means I have to work extra hard to keep the kitchen clean.
You see, my job is to clean up the floor. I’m not sure why, but I’ve been assigned to that job ever since I’ve lived here. Lots of times there’s not much to clean up, but lately it’s been almost every night.
You’d think my person would give me a cookie or two for doing such a good job of cleaning. But no. Not only does she not give me a cookie, she threatens to brush my teeth after I’ve been working hard for her. I mean, I’m so good that I’m right in there while she’s still working – cleaning up around her feet.
I’ve got to go now. There’s some more cleaning to do. Oh yeah, don’t tell my person that I really like this floor cleaning job. I’m afraid if she knew that she’d take the job away from me and give it to Scratchy.

Oh Bongo ..How can your person be so cruel..making you work so hard without a reward. If you came to live with me..I would give you a cookie..well a little piece as cookies are not good for dogs. They are not good for people either really as it makes them fat, so really and truly you are better off without a cookie.

Does your person make you special dog cookies? I used to do that when I had a little dog. I made enough for him to give some to his doggie friends. I used a little dog bone cookie cutter. He thought they were yummy! Get your person to do that for you.

Sandy, my person found some good dog cookie recipes on another dog blog and I’m really trying to get her to make them for me. She says she might do it for a Christmas present. I’m hoping.

You are the good dog ( with a well working stomach!) The German is jealous – she is on a very strict diet – or she gets really upset tum and needs to spend a lot of time outdoors…and it has been raining a lot..so we just have to ignore her sad eyes. I’m sure everyone wishes they had a helper like you in the kitchen.

Karen, I guess I’m lucky I can eat most things although there are some that my person won’t give me because she says they don’t agree with me. She won’t let me have cheese or chocolate and it really bums me out because I love those things.
