Finally, here’s a painting that I was a part of. I tried to talk my person into painting me into it, but she would have nothing to do with that. She said the painting was a present and people usually only like paintings of their own dogs.
I thought everyone would want a painting of me.
Anyway, I was with my person when she took the picture that she did the painting from. We were on a really long walk that day – so this painting is from my trails, but further away than we usually go.
We have a good view of Thunder Mountain from the trailhead near my house, but this painting is from a different side of it.
When my person gets back home I’m telling her we need to go back there. Maybe I can help her do another painting of this mountain. Or maybe we can go to a different side of the mountain – one I haven’t seen before.
Hey person, I hope you don’t have anything to do when you get back home, because I have all kinds of plans for you.

I bet that mountain has gorgeous views from all around. I like the painting your person did Bongo. She’s very good with watercolors. Was it raining in the distance the day your person took the picture?

Thanks Jackie. It wasn’t raining but in the photo most of the sky looked white – probably because of the lighting.

Well I think you put a nice dramatic touch on the sky in your painting 🙂

What a beautiful painting, even though it seems to be missing something…. oh yeah – you know a dog in the painting maybe sitting under that tree on the right, yes I think that would make it even better! (Bongo you’ll have to check out Mom’s Mozzarella haddock recipe & you’ll understand why I could never live near anyplace that had a thunder mountain!) – Lola

Thanks Lola. I stopped by and checked out your mom’s post. I’m deathly afraid of thunder, but that mountain doesn’t make any noise so it’s okay.I agree that my person should paint me into the picture.

Who wouldn’t want a painting of you, Bongo?? That’s nuts! You’re adorable. If I had hands instead of paws, I’d paint a million pictures of you (and a million of me, too).
Love and licks,

Cupcake, I’m still working on my person to practice drawing me. Then she might paint me.

I like this painting, but I think it would be nice to have one with a certain black-and-white dog on that brown ground.

Bella and DiDi, I’m looking forward to dragging my person out for a walk on the trails. She will really need it by the time she gets home.

Collies – and especially Ginger, that is a great idea. As soon as I get hold of some black and white paints I am definitely going to get hold of that painting. Thanks.

Thanks Sunshine. Maybe I can get my person’s paints out and we can have a painting party when she gets home. That’s after I take her out on my trails for a good, long walk.

Angels Whisper, my person is attached to my leash when we go on walks so if I go there she won’t have any choice.

I hope you do get to go back to Thunder Mountain. It looks like an amazing place to go for a walk. And I agree with you – a painting wouldn’t be complete without your portrait etched into it! xx

What a great painting of Thunder Mountain. Although I don’t understand either why everyone wouldn’t want a painting with you in it Bongo!

Thanks Bassetmomma. Next time my person does a painting I think I’ll have to make sure she puts me in it. Even if I have to stick my own paw in the paints. Oh, wait a minute – that’s what Scratchy does.

Hey Bongo, Jet here. Yup, your person has a point, people often prefer to have their own K9 in the artwork. Between us, I cannot imagine why someone would not appreciate your handsomeness in the art, but, hey, that’s what makes the world go round!
Bongo
March 17, 2012 at 6:22 am
Thanks Jet. I think I would look great in any piece of art too. Now I just have to convince my person.

Dude… here’s the secret… suggest to them that your person and Mom should chat about something important. Then, when they are on the phone, we’ll bark to each other… if person has that thing called face time, we can even SEE each other! Oh, btw… I’m about to dictate today’s post which is going to refer to your Indian Paint Brush post, so be on the look out!

I don’t think I have seen Thunder Mountain, Bongo seeing pictures of your trail walk there would be great. Lexie and Mica are at dog hotel so no trail walks for them 😦

March 17, 2012 at 6:25 am
Lexie and Mica, I hope you’re having fun at the dog hotel – but I know you’ll have more fun when you get back home and can go on your trails again. I can’t wait to go on mine. My younger person doesn’t like to take me out on them.
