How Plain is Your Air?

14 Mar

Painting of Coffee Pot RockMy person might not have any paintings of dogs, but at least this one is a view from my trails. I was kind of mad at my person when she painted it though.

You know what she did? She put all her paints and brushes and stuff in a back pack and headed out to the trails without me. She made some excuse that her art teacher said she had to do a plein air painting.

Come on, person. I don’t care if the air is plain or not. I still want to go with you. You can paint while I’m with you. If I get bored I’ll just chase squirrels or coyotes or something.

Well, nothing I said would convince her to take me with her. She finally came back a couple hours later with this painting.

At least she took me out on my trails after that, but we didn’t stay out as long as she stayed out there by herself. I think she should buy me my own paints. Then we could go out and paint in the plain air together. I wouldn’t even mind painting with rain in the air.

Wow! That’s another beautiful painting! But not as good as the one of Monument Valley 🙂

Thanks Sweet Kitten. My person says you would really like it if you came to see this rock in person. But she did spend a lot more time on the Monument Valley one.

Bongo , you are one great guy but sometimes your person needs to be alone especially when painting such a masterpiece…
You would have got very bored and then been a distraction so you were better being left at home until your person returned to take you out xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Patreciau, I’m sure I could have helped my person paint.

Hey Bongo..I think you have a wonderful imagination, therfore I would think you would make a pretty good artist too…:-) Maybe your human could get you some paint stuff for dogs. Something like a beef jerky shaped like a brush, that way you could paint and chew at the same time…:-)

    Your friend Penny

Penny, I like that idea. A beef jerky shaped brush. I’d have to paint fast though because I don’t think the brush would last very long.

Your Momma is so talented, but just think if you could have went too, maybe you could have snuck in the picture!!

Bassetmomma, I’ll remind my person next time that she should take me along and paint me into the picture. I hope I can wash all the paint off when she gets done though.

Cupcake, it’s a drag being left behind. At least the time when my person was painting it wasn’t very long. This time it seems like she’s gone forever.

HEY BONGO! GETTING BACK TO THE RESERVATION, YOUR PERSON SAID WE COULD NOT TAKE YOU ALONG, BECAUSE, YOU WOULD CHASE THE COTOTES WOULD YOU? BY THE WAY, SHE SEEMS TO BE HAVING A GOOD TIME WITHOUT. JUST KIDDING

Nancy, you’re making me sad. Could you please talk my person into letting me go to the Reservation. I want to meet your dog buddies there.

Sandra, Colorful paw prints would be nice. I think I could make a great work of art.

How about some TV time or a long snooze? 😉 You have/had the home to yourself. 🙂

      March 14, 2012 at 6:01 pm

eof737, long snoozes are good. I’ve been taking a lot of those while my person is gone. All the more energy I’ll have when she gets back home.

Thanks Brown Dawgs. I agree the painting would have been much better with me in it. Especially if I got to go along while my person painted it.

Bongo, I think you would be a marvelous painter! We are sorry you didn’t get to go with your person but that is a lovely painting!! Maybe next time, she will paint one of you 🙂

Sorry for being MIA recently– we’ve been busy bees but look forward to catching up with you and seeing what else you’ve been up to this past week! Have a great night.

      March 14, 2012 at 6:06 pm

Deanna, I think I would be a great painter too. I’ve got to talk my person into letting me use her paints sometime. My person says not to feel bad for being MIA. She has deserted me this week. She’s still helping me with my comments long distance but she didn’t leave me a computer so I haven’t been able to read anybody’s blogs for a few days.

I think your person probably needed that time to herself in order to concentrate on her creative talents Bongo. As a result of your person’s quiet time, she has brought home a masterpiece! 🙂

I know you mentioned that your person doesn’t have any dog paintings Bongo. Yet, who knows maybe your person might want you to pose for a painting one day, or she could pose for you! I realize that you are full of energy and posing might not be possible, so she might need to paint from a photo of you. You may possibly be the next superstar. Oh, that’s right, you already are! 🙂

    • Bongo

      March 14, 2012 at 6:10 pm

Thanks Wordswithpurpose. I keep working on my person to try to get her to paint me but she says she would definitely have to use a photo. I’m not sure why but she says I wouldn’t be a very good model.

This is an amazing picture, Bongo, and I’m sure you’re somewere out there, but we cannot see you, because of all the bushes. Just a few more days and your person will be back, Bongo, you can count down now 🙂

Angels Whisper, I guess that’s probably where I’d be if my person didn’t keep me on a leash. Somewhere in the bushes.

Sweet Bongo we think you have stuck upon the right idea. Tell her to buy you some paints and paper or canvas so you can go along everywhere. You can paint while she paints and it won’t hurt if you chase a critter now and then either. Hugs and nose kisses

    • Bongo

      March 15, 2012 at 4:56 pm

Chancy and Mumsy. I totally agree with you. Maybe I can even get a little critter to run through my paint and paper and leave some little paw prints.

Yep, that’s exactly what she must do: buy you another set of paints so you can both enjoy painting [anytime really!]. [nice painting!]

Marina, I’m totally with you. Now I just have to convince my person.

Try this idea. Person… you know how the elephants in Asia became famous for selling their paintings? Well, I, Bongo, your beloved K9… and take it from there!

      • Bongo

        March 17, 2012 at 5:58 am

You’re right Jet. If elephants can do it, I’m sure I can. My person will definitely have to go for that one.

First Bongo, “absence makes the heart grow fonder” and second, ummm, maybe you can start telling your persons what parties you are hosting since she’s left you “in charge.” Crazy all-nighters with dog-chicks and other wild party things you dogs need for successful parties . . . Don’t tell her i told you. top secret. That may get her home earlier than expected. good luck!

Sunshine, dog parties sound like great fun. I’ll have to blame it on Scratchy though. I haven’t figured out how, but my person always seems to know when I’ve been up to something.

      March 17, 2012 at 7:12 am

Rumpy, I think it’s something like that. My person hasn’t been able to get any color to stay in the air though. She might as well stay in the house and paint.
